Sen. Barack Obama has been criticized for his recent aggressive comments on Pakistan. A few months ago, he made another tactical error that may hurt him in 2008.
The Lantern, student voice of the Ohio State University, reported that "Barack Obama and Jon Stewart both declined OSU's invitation to speak at this year's (commencement) ceremony." The Buckeye crowd got former president Bill Clinton instead ... and Obama missed a chance to woo prospective Midwest voters.
Obama should have remembered the example set by President Bush in 2002. Dubya delivered the commencement address, making the necessary reference to the Buckeyes football team. "Today I had the honor of meeting Coach Jim Tressel," Dubya declared. "Most polite of him to share with me the really fine experience that the Buckeyes had up in Ann Arbor this year." Two years later, the Bush-Cheney ticket would win a key victory in Ohio (with its 20 electoral votes) over Kerry-Edwards.
Obama should figure out a way to get to Columbus, fast...

3. This is almost as bad as a story about Paris Hilton. What does this matter.

4. I agree with Kamran ... yes, because gaining someone's vote has everything to do with appealing to their football fancies. Christ, is nothing taken seriously anymore? F&%* Ohio for leaning Bush's way, whether or not it had anything to do with Bush's statement about the UofM/OSU rivalry, but especially so if it was the case.

7. The American public is taking the wrong approach over obama's comment. I would rather for obama being a black man make such comments then Hillary Cliton being white.
Remember, the people of Pakistan are dark skinded. As you can see their has not been much of a global out cry so far. Let it be hillary and thier be a big difference right about now.

8. Well don't you Chicago is the worst racist state I have ever known. If Obama was elected in NY or Calironia He could of been better, but being in chicago make it worst. Prejudice is out there people, do not be ignorant, wake up and visualize it. OH well what ca we do. I am a white woman I can tell you that for a fact, I heard how other white people talk, it is rally bad, they think that black people do nothave class or value, what a shame. Remember black people without us black America or US would not be good as it is today. Let be proud we give them independance but they still treat us like shit.

10. Obama is our future for the United states of America. What would you all want to happen to our country? If we do nothing, continue to make enemies of foreign countries, we'll be in another battle but it will be with China. So wake up to politics and propagama given to us by our news people. Their slant of the news is wrong. Obama is the Man for President. Wake up and listen without the media backlash. Obama is the honest and real man for president.

11. I would rather for obama to make them statements then hillary. Remember the people of pakistan are darkskinnded just like he is. And as you can see their has been no real global out cry. Let Hillary make them statements, it will be a whole different ballgame right about now.

12. For those who think Bush can't outgeneral anyone....He's done it for 2 terms. Everyone percieves him in the exact way he wants them to. That way you never see him coming until its too late. Sometimes playing dumb is the smartest thing you can do because all of the dummies out there that think they are smart fall right into the trap. I am a republican and I voted for Bush both times and I am proud of our President and support him 100%. I wonder how many of the readers out there are going to respond to this post in a hateful way because I stated I'm a republican. Reread this post and see if you can find one word where I criticised anything or anyone for their beliefs.

14. Obama proved Hillary Clinton right about her comment that he was 'naive' by trying to prove a strong man (his comment about Pakistan). Sorry Obama, a small mistake, a giant leap downward in the polls.
