As the WaPo describes him, a "top adviser" to the Mitt Romney campaign was caught with a Web site that attacked Fred Thompson:
Before it vanished, the front page of the website featured a picture of a regal Thompson dressed in a frilly outfit more befitting a Gilbert and Sullivan production than a presidential campaign. Under the heading, "Playboy Fred," the site asks the question: "Once a Pro-Choice Skirt Chaser, Now Standard Bearer of the Religious Right?"
Nice. Real classy. Was this done at the request of the Romney campaign? If so, it should be a deal breaker for Mitt Romney. Especially considering Romney's flirtation with abortion is far, far more extensive than whatever Fred Thompson has done on the subject.
We're a long way from Reagan's 11th commandment.

2. Romney's self-righteousness is beginning to become a real bore. This hypocrite is acting as if Thompson were gaining on him. Romney is in no position to be attacking Fred Thompson for changing positions on anything. Who would be a greater expert on how to be a political chameleon on a whole range of issues than Romney?
Poor Fred did get in too late and he looks like a hen pecked husband. What's more, he's rather dull and lifeless as a public speaker. Like Senator Clinton, the camera is not Fred Thompson's friend.

7. Romney was our worst governor. He was never in Mass, always out promoting his campaign, had a home in New Hampshire and as president will treat that title as his trophy and would be worldwide promoting and toting himself. If there was ever a postion as president of the world that would be his next goal and he would use our time as our president to try to achieve it. Romney is so in love with himself he clearly shows himself as the biggest fraud there ever was to run for president. America deserves such a higher class candidate and there are some on both politcal sides currently, but Romney is not one of them.

Why attack something you have not researched. Please read the document above--it does not say that Mitt had anything to do with it. It only suggests. It is reports like these that are not researched--but put out and people read as fact that damage one's reputation. I have researched Mitt Romney through every new article I could find on him and what his stance was when he ran for Governor of Mass. I believe if people would take the time and research on their on; and not read trash as this article is; then they would make different decisions based on informed information that they themselves obtained. Not the political trash that the LIBERAL MEDIA is throwing out, an all us good people are digesting. Be an individual -- be responsible -- research for yourself. Do not depend on the media to research for you. They have their own agenda and it is not looking out for you!!!!!

10. I am sick of candidates "throwing mud" at others just to make themselves look better. It has the opposite affect on me. Romney should be ashamed. Besides, if Fred Thompson is anything like his character in Law and Order, he would make a very level-headed president -- and God knows, we haven't seen one of those in a while.

11. Romney did a GREAT job in MA as Governor. Would probably make a GREAT President. But it won't be the dems who keep him from it, it will be the narrow minded religionists from The Bible Belt who would vote for a muslim before they'd vote for a Latter Day Saint. As we speak, thousands of backwoods preachers are haranguing their "flocks" about what a menace the "Mormon Church" is.
Since he has taken the high road on so many issues, i would seriously doubt that this UN-Named "Top Advisor" posted any of this tripe about Thompson with Mitt's approval.
A GREAT Ticket would be Thompson-Romney

14. Wow! Wake up America: Seems our America is getting used to the low Morality and a Depressed people; Then along comes a good man like Romney. Are we afraid he might actually bring back a little family tradition of our forefathers? Do we fear a goal oriented man like Romney? Do we fear a man who takes pride in himself, his family? Our we afraid of actually getting a Moral Minded Man? My goodness, the santity of Marriage might become sacred again?
