This should cause no great consternation in the Fred Thompson camp. The religious right folks are rallying around Mike Huckabee, but so far the Arkansas governor has not broken out of the second tier. If he does so, then the Dobson thing may matter. But for Thompson, the fact that he does in fact look like Ronald Reagan when you stand him next to John McCain, Mitt Romney, and especially Rudy Giuliani. Dobson may not like it, but he's pointedly not endorsing Giuliani either, and right now it's a two-man race."Isn't Thompson the candidate who is opposed to a Constitutional amendment to protect marriage, believes there should be 50 different definitions of marriage in the U.S., favors McCain-Feingold, won't talk at all about what he believes, and can't speak his way out of a paper bag on the campaign trail?" Dobson wrote.
"He has no passion, no zeal, and no apparent 'want to.' And yet he is apparently the Great Hope that burns in the breasts of many conservative Christians? Well, not for me, my brothers. Not for me!"
Thompson can wait it out. Dobson will come around if it's Fred vs. Hillary Clinton. And besides this will make the libertarian wing of the Republican party gravitate toward Fred Thompson even more.

1. I predict that by 2012 the entire World will be Hell in a hand-basket, because “they” will pull out all the stops, “they” will use every dirty card in their deck and dig-up all the filthy slime “they” can find or manufacture. “They” will play all their dirty tricks, because nothing… nothing will be out of bounds or unjustified. Every despicable tool and weapon in "their" arsenal will be used… “They” will not fail or be denied. Nothing on Earth will allow “them” to permit the successful election of an African American, or a Latino, or a Woman to enter the inner sanctums of the White House. “They” will see to it, as God and Country is "their" witness, that the next person to take command of the oval office in 2008 will be… a Republican.

2. I use to have a great deal of respect for Dr. James Dobson, when his, "focus was on the family" in America. It seems like he has for the last several years been more than willing to get his hands filthy in the dirty world of American politics. How sad!

3. Fred Thompson should wear as a badge of honor when a looney tune like James Dobson disses you.
I don't think much of Thompson, but hell, I kinda like him now because Dobson doesn't.
By the way, Dr. Dobson, is Sponge Bob still part of the "gay agenda?"
For someone who is a "doctor," you might want to explain to us how a sponge has sex...just asking...

4. It's respectful to remember past Presidents and their accomplishment like Ronald Reagan but it is also important not to look backward in times past. The world is moving forward with many changes just as there are new things and new changes today than yesterday. The only candidate with a lot to offer for America now and in the future is Governor Mitt Romney of the GOP.

6. Why when you have solid conservatives like Paul and Tandredo, whose positions are so popular with the people, are they being ignored by their party and the media? Are they too true to American patriotism and the constitution rather than the evil schemes of big business and globalization?

7. It is a mistake to point the finger at Religious Leaders as they too have the right to voice their opinion as individual citizens. In addition their services as Spiritual Leaders is very important for the good of families and individual citizens as a whole.Dr James Dobson and many religious leaders throughout the country are doing a marvelous and wonderful job of encouraging family values and spiritual living which is the cornerstone for our survival as christian nations. As for the candidate I prefer for the Republican nominee it would be Mitt Romney.
