Drudge is reporting that President Bush has gone on the record stating that he believes Hillary Clinton will win the Democratic presidential nomination, but she will lose the general election to a Republican challenger. This comes from an excerpt in the forthcoming book The Evangelical President by Bill Sammon, in which Bush states: "She's got a national presence and this is becoming a national primary...And therefore the person with the national presence, who has got the ability to raise enough money to sustain an effort in a multiplicity of sites, has got a good chance to be nominated."
While it seems a certain that Clinton will win the nomination, the certainty that she would lose is, well, not so certain at this stage of the game. The comments by Bush that a Republican will win the White House are not necessarily echoed by those close to the president. Former adviser Karl Rove feels the race will be too close to call and this sentiment is basically repeated on the record by Vice President Dick Cheney in the following comment: "[The election] could go either way."

16. PRESIDENT BUSH IS RIGHT ON ABOUT A REPUBLICAN WINNING THE PRESIDENCY.THESE DEMOCRATS KNOW NOTHING ABOUT NATIONAL SECURITY.ITS SAD WHEN CONGRESS(HILLARY CLINTON)THE MAIN ONE, CAN'T EVEN AGREE ON THE POLICIES THAT OUR NATION FACES.WE NEED A STRONG REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT LIKE SENATOR JOHN MCCAIN.I THINK GWB NEEDS TO BUILD THAT SHEILD, QUIK, BEFORE OUR NEXT PRESIDENT IS EVEN ELECTED.AND GIVE OUR TROOPS AND NATIONAL SECURITY WHAT THEY NEED TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE OF THE US.STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT!

17. Whoever wins whether it's Rudy or Hillary, it will be much better than George Bush. He's certainly going down as the worst President in my lifetime.

18. I think anyone with the desire to be president is too power hungry to have a pesonality and most likely sucks anyway.
So, I don't care who wins, I probably dislike them anyway.

19. Huckabee will win, here's how it will go down:
...you may be missing a key point here. Given Rudy's emerging ethical problems stemming from all things Kerik, the last thing he needs right now are for the evangelical base to think they can unite behind a true believer in the fast rising Huckabee. Yes, Romney has money and organization, but he is blowing through that cash at a high rate. And a large part of Romney's evangelical support results from being seen as the less-than-perfect but most likely Anyone But Rudy candidate. But if Huckabee suddenly emerges as a real alternative for the remaining uncommitted evangelicals to unite behind, then Giuliani may find himself with a re-energized evangelical base opposing him, especially after Rudy loses both Iowa and New Hampshire as they head south. If Dobson and the rest of the uncommitted evangelical leadership feel Huckabee gives them a new chance to control the nomination, then the GOP race shifts.

20. Bush also states that the US is winning in Iraq, that Iran is building nuclear weapons, and that global warming isn't a problem.
Bush probably predicts that Denver will win the Super Bowl and that the Yankees will win the 2007 World Series. The Magic 8 Ball is better at predictions than Bush.
