Bill Clinton on MoveOn
It's hard to quibble with the Clinton's assertion. Still, even though he is right, the MoveOn ad was lame. Decide for yourself.

1. Dear Bill,
You should know about bait and switch. You had that terroists Bin Ladin and you let him get away and you did nothing. I'm a woman and I definately would not vote for Hillary directly for two reasons, your passed records in the White House are horrible and your wife lets you cheat on her and she wants the White House so badly, she goes go her merry wait and I absolutely do not want another Clinton in the White House so you to can take the highest office in the free world to the basement again due, to your so called marriage. 2. Dear Rita,
Bill stayed married to his wife, despite his infidelities and the problems in their marriage. Giuliani, McCain and Gingrich have 8 wives between them. Two of them left their wives for their "mistresses." Do you really think conservatives should get on a high horse about Bill & Hillary Clinton's marriage?

3. Dave #2,
Ahhhhhhhhhh, they old Jimmy/Johnnie defense
that all the Clinton apologists fall back on.
"Hey, pay no attention to what is going on behind the curtain, just look and listen to what I spin."

5. A classic example of how disingenuous Clinton is, can be seen in the right column of this blog, labeled
"Top Political Photos." It looks like an impromptu
photo of a bunch of Harvard students that gathered together to get a snap-shot with Clinton. By looking at the larger picture, you can see that it's clearly staged and the students were hand selected based upon their race, I guess to portray a subliminal message of the Clinton's "diversity." Several Whites, several Blacks, Asians, Indian female, and a Hispanic male. More smoke, mirrors, and subversion from the Clinton camp.

6. More "apples to oranges" comparisons from Clinton. Kerry was a veteran who denounced his military service, then tried to use that same service to portray himself as a self-proclaimed war "hero,"
when it was convenient, because he was running for political office. Petraeus is NOT a politician and is not running for any office. To suggest that there is any comparison between the two, is absurd.

8. Hello Rita
Just ignore responses #2 and #7. As per the
Arkansas "play book" the object is to
to smear anyone who disagrees with the Clinton's "arrangement".

9. Bill and Hillary could care less for any race unless they are green and have money.
Bill just had his daughter's picture yank out of a Itlatian eatery the other day. This joke and his enabler wife only like money and trying to make people think that they are not poor white trash from Tiger Ridge!

10. Patraeus has a difficult task, and he answered the questions as well as he could. Maybe he could win a fight with a blind Arab cripple. Other than that, who has any real confidence in anything He or the Pentagon says about anything?
Interesting interview. I didn't know Elvis was so close to Poopy Bush.

11. David, my wife is mad at me because I didn't like the Moveon ad. Clinton is right however, the conservative response was high handed hypocisy. My problem is that the ad subjected Moveon to criticism that would take the focus off of the real issues. Her response is that the ad focuses on the truth. Since the foriegn press and our own GAO had completely different figures than Patraeous, doesn't that make the General's figures at least debatable?
There is also the question of using a military figure for a political purpose. But shouldn't our criticism go to Bush for setting us up in this way?
Plus, it is obvious that the ads detractors didn't read it. It was asking a question. General, are you going to be a standup guy or a spokesperson for the administration? Maybe it was too cute in its presentation.
Regarding comments to your blog, I will never truly understand the hatred that Clinton generates with some people. Wasn't he in fact a good middle of the road repulican president. He cut welfare, balanced the budget, sponsored private initiatives and raised the respect for America worldwide. Solid republican values.
The irony is that both Clinton and Gore may end up doing more good out of office than they could as elected officials.

12. The MoveOn "Betray Us" ad was intended to "swift boat" General Petraeus but instead they shot the Democrats in the foot.
The MoveOn "Betray Us" ad was a PR disaster:
Many anti-war Democrats went into the Petraeus testimony intending to pander and put on a show for the anti-war base. Hillary was put on the spot when she called Petraeus a liar while others condemed the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad.
The Congress and Senate took advantage of the gift on a silver platter given to them by the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad and introduced resolutions to condem the ad, forcing anti-war Democrats "on the record" for or against the ad.
Without time to take polls and gauge public sentiment Hillary was afraid to incur the wrath of MoveOn and stuck by her base. She voted AGAINST the Senate resolution to condem the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad.
Now the polls are in and 585 of Americans disapprove of the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad. Hillary wastes no time abanoning the base by appearing on FOX news to support the man she called a liar and condem the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad.
Bill is simply spinning his magic on liberals to do a little damage control for Hillary.

13. Pete---I don't know where you got that iformation, but, Mrs. Clinton didn't called Petrarus a liar. I taped it and I just re-watched it. You and many Rep's for 5 years have done nothing but lie About Mrs. Clinton and what she stands for. But most people are seeing how hateful the Reps are when it comes to Mrs. Clinton. She just raised 27 million dollars and 19 million dollars came from people giving her 100 dollars.
Now What I came to say is the anyone that is for this war will not be elected President. So that leaves only one Rep and that would be Ron Paul. Seeing how Rep's will not elect him, that means Mrs. Clinton will be the next President of the United States. All you Rep's need to learn Respect.
VoteVets.org is now going to back Mrs. Clinton. There is know a ad campaign to stop Rush and all Rep's that called our Soldiers phoney because they will not back this war. As Jon Soltz stated "Maybe Rudh Limbaugh hasn't heard, but there's a new Sheriff in town---American's troops and veterans, who are not going to sit idle while he and his ilk demean the service of those who oppose the president's failed policy in Iraq." Jon Soltz, chair of Votevets.org and an Iraq War Veteran.
