Apparently anyone in the military is above criticism as long as they agree with Rush's brave belief that we should be in Iraq "as long as it takes." And I use the term 'we' loosely, as I believe the closest Rush has ever gotten to combat was watching We Were Soldiers with surround sound.Please link to this blog because the pictures and captions are very good. What is not being taken into account in this war is the military viewpoint. There are a number of retired generals who have spoken out, many who lead our troops in Iraq. There are large numbers of soldiers serving in Iraq who are speaking out. These are brave, honorable soldiers serving their country, doing the best they can, being labeled as phony. Don't take my word for it, but take theirs.
Enough is enough. Those who want our youth to fight their war should not be labeling those they send as phony (especially when they got a deferment for ingrown hair-really that's what Rush did). We can and must get out of Iraq even if it takes a year. Start somewhere.

2. The caller was an Iraq war veteran who said "and these soldiers who come up out of the blue and talk to the media". Rush responded; "The phoney soldiers" and the caller agreed.
To explapolate from that "out of the blue AND TALK TO THE MEDIA" comment that any soldier who has served in Iraq but opposes the war is a phony soldier is grasping at straws.
After the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad PR disaster many anti-war Democrats, including Hillary, were put "on the record" in Senate votes to condem the ad. Without time to take polls or gauge public sentiment Hillary voted AGAINST a senate resolution to condem the MoveOn "betray Us" ad.
Once polls showed 58% of Americans disapprove of the MoveOn "Betray Us" ad Hillary wasted no time running to all the morning shows, including FOX NEWS, to show support for the man she called a liar, and finally condem the "Betray Us" ad.
Harry "White Flag" Reid has been making the most noise about this and interestingly, after his 'all is lost comments', has the most to loose by our success in Iraq. Harry "White Flag" Reid, with our success in Iraq, is in over his head, drowning in a morass of his own making flailing about in a desperate attempt to keep his head above water or take someone with him.
Although not mentioned by name by the caller or Rush "soldiers who come out of the Blue AND TALK TO THE MEDIA" is clearly a reference to Jesse MacBeth.
Jesse MacBeth was championed by the left, in Cindy Sheehan fashion, when he 'came out of the blue' and claimed to have taken part in war crimes in Iraq where he said he recieved the Purple Heart.
The facts are Jesse MacBeth was kicked out of the Army after just 44 days. Jesse MacBeth never set foot in Iraq, he obviously did not participate in war crimes in Iraq nor was he wounded by hostile action in Boot camp before he was kicked out of the Army after just 44 days.
Jesse MacBeth is presently serving 5 months in jail for making false statements.
Nothing will come of this self serving outrage.

I live in the state of arkansas,as fate would have it,I'm the same age as Clinton.So I can tell you what it feels like living under the "Clinton's" Rule.As far back as the demo he put on climbing a tree,trying to leave the country, to avoid the draft.Both have indulged in walking on the dirty edge of the knife.
Come to Madison County in Arkansas dig out some of these families that have ran this county for generations,go to the Madison County Record,our local newspaper.They ran special copies when Billie McKnight was beat to death with a ballbat,she knew all about the sheriff,Ralph Baker,3 of his deputies and one lawyer.She was about to "spell the beans" so to speak,but was silenced.The F.B.I.,the State Troopers and some say the C.I.A.or the D.E.A. All were here.Then about time the Sheriff was going to give-up all his info.that connected him and Clinton,he was silenced.

11. It's been proven quite clearly that Harry Reid overreacted, on the basis of erroneous information, in publicly chastising Rush Limbaugh for referring to actual phony soldiers as "phony soldiers". While it would behoove libs to simply "let sleeping dogs lie", in this case, hoping their mania inspired mess will blow over, it seems some (like Greg) can't help but continue tossing feathers and pretending they're anvils of weighty knowledge.

I knew as more and more press picked up the FACTS that the surge is working and sectarian violence is rapidly dropping in Iraq that more and more irrational cries to get out of Iraq immediately were going to flood the internet.
Why? Because the last thing you want is for there to be a good, solid peace in Iraq come November and that's why the left sickens me.
You would rather have an entire nation fall into ruin just so your candidate can win? All your shrill, screeching voices calling for "Bush to be impeached for war crimes" and it is really all of you who have not a shred of humanity nor anything that could even remotely pass for a soul.
And as for the "endless dead" you must be a teenager to even think that. If you think that less than 4,000 deaths are "endless" then you obviously have no recollection of Viet Nam. 4,000 deaths since 2003? Hell, we were bringing home almost 3,000 a month during Viet Nam. Get a clue.
