Edwards Holds Town Hall in Oregon
Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards addresses a town hall meeting Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in Portland, Ore. The stakes are too high for Democrats to lose the presidential election in 2008, and party members have an obligation to chose a candidate who can win in the general election, Edwards told the crowd at a packed union hall. Edwards is the first of the candidates from either of the two major political parties to hold a public event in Oregon this year.
