McCain Says He Voted for Bush

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (May 9) - Republican John McCain on Friday disputed blogger Arianna Huffington's contention that she heard him say he voted against President Bush in 2000.

In a report, Huffington insisted she heard McCain say, at a Los Angeles dinner party after the 2000 election, he had not voted for Bush.

Two other guests at the party, former "West Wing" actors Bradley Whitford and Richard Schiff, said they heard McCain say the same thing; they were asked by Huffington to speak Thursday to The New York Times and The Washington Post.

McCain's campaign said Thursday she was making up the story to promote a book, and McCain disputed the story.

"I voted, campaigned for, worked as hard as I could for President Bush's election in 2000 and 2004," McCain told reporters. "I voted for President Bush, I said so at the time. I know we're already in silly season, but my record stands very clearly of campaigning all over this nation on behalf of the candidacy of President Bush.

"It's nonsense," he said.

McCain, now the likely GOP nominee, lost a bitter presidential primary race in 2000 to Bush.

It's no one's business who or what I vote for. However, I would be ashamed to admit that I voted for Bush. I know many people who are very sorry that they did.

ghuff71..................You said it right. Guess what, it seems that is where the Clinton supporters will cast their vote since OBAMA is the clear winner. Those poor, uneducated, working-class white people.

McCain Did Lie...That's Not All He Lied About

For all you McCain Lovers... Go to www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain to get your eyes opened.

You will find all the Lies McCain told as well as how he will be SWIFT BOATED. McCain finished up his Bio-Tour, but ommitted interesting parts of his life that Americans will find very scary.

1. How McCain turned on POW / MIA families.
2. McCain Crashed 5 Navy Aircraft.
3. McCain has only 20 hours of COMBAT EXPERIENCE
4. McCain comes from a long line of Slave-Holders. {can you imagine... I often wondered why there were absolutely NO Blacks ever with him on the Campaign trail. McCain's grandfather... great-grandfather... and great great grandfather owns African-Americans as Slaves. He told America nothing worth listenening to on his Bio-Tour. McCain has lots to explain.

I understand why LEADING GOPers did not want him Nominated for Prez. The only real experience McCain has is ... Crashing Navy Aircraft. This is truly troubling. Obama will

Of course he voted for the President, heck he campaigned hard for him .
McCain is left of Bush and his views about no drilling and being more green than Obama is scary. I think McCain will make a great leader but the fact that he's not being tough on illegal's and his liberal GORE like views on global warming is like votting for a Democrat. Conservatives have nobody this election and must McCain
because he won't tax and spend.

Newsweek catches MC CAIN in a serious contradiction.....See what Greenwald says.....
But that isn't what they did. Instead, when confronted with the discrepancy, the McCain campaign lied about the testimony, offering a patently absurd explanation for what McCain meant when he testified: "I'm sure I spoke with him, yes." That behavior is highly suggestive of a deliberate attempt to mislead -- just going into full-blown defense mode and saying anything without regard to truth.

If deliberately misleading the public about communications with key campaign contributors is not a "serious" offense -- and, more generally, if the instinct to jump into full, fact-free, self-defense mode when confronted with accusations of wrongdoing (rather than admitting errors and honestly confronting them) isn't "serious" -- then what is?

God help us if McNobrain wins in November!!!
Vote for nobody as long as you don't vote for that fool.

Anyone would say anything in an election! Don't think Arianna would make up a story and 2 others confirmed. I'm sure McCain changed his story to suite the current election. I just thought he'd keep his integrity. Am disappointed.
