Minnesota supporters boo their own candidate, Sen. John McCain, after he describes his opponent Barack Obama as a "decent person and a person that you do not have to be scared of as president of the United States." Over the last few days, crowd members at GOP rallies have targeted Obama with shouts of "traitor," "terrorist," "liar," and even "off with his head" -- comments that went unchallenged by McCain.

A legislative committee investigating Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she unlawfully abused her authority in firing the state's public safety commissioner. The probe examined the dismissal of Walter Monegan, who says he lost his job because he resisted pressure to fire a state trooper involved in a bitter divorce with the governor's sister.
