Stop us if you've heard this one before: Britney Spears, Mel Gibson and Britney's father all go to Costa Rica together ... oh wait, it's not a joke. The seemingly odd trio really are getting their holiday on in Central America.

When you're Britney Spears, nothing goes unseen thanks to the constant swarm of paparazzi -- even little fender-benders. The pop star was caught on camera yet again on Tuesday rear-ending an SUV with her white Mercedes-Benz in Beverly Hills, but thankfully no one was hurt and no damage was visible to the cars following the incident.

While we're as guilty as the rest for having fun here and there with the trials and tribulations of Ms. Spears, we wish her only the best. In that spirit, have a tremendous Mother's Day, Britney -- Love, the AOL Entertainment News team:

Britney Spears has been granted expanded visitation rights to her two sons in a child-custody hearing. Kevin Federline's lawyer says the longer visits are "recognition of the progress that has been made, a progress in structure and stability."

For once, all eyes weren't on Britney Spears, but rather her sister Jamie Lynn, who played the role of mom-to-be at her baby shower over the weekend. The whole Spears clan was in attendance, including Britney.

Fans of Britney won't have to wait long to see her return to the small screen. Her next guest spot on 'How I Met Your Mother' will air in the heart of sweeps on May 12.

Two small headlines in both Star and Life & Style magazine suggests that the exes may be headed toward a reconciliation, despite their custody battle and divorce.
