David Chase, creator of the acclaimed TV mob drama The Sopranos, has signed a deal with Paramount Pictures to write, produce and direct his first feature film.

Time Warner Inc. said Thursday it will close its Picturehouse and Warner Independent Pictures film studios and eliminate 70 jobs in the latest cost-cutting move since Jeff Bewkes took over as chief executive on Jan. 1.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel will star in the anti-romantic comedy '500 Days of Summer.'

Oliver Stone, via Entertainment Weekly, is giving the world a look at what Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Banks look like when they're in character for the 'W.' in which they play George and Laura Bush. Stone says the movie will be a "fair, true portrait" of Dubya.
