the whole point of the spock character was his trying to balance his human side with his vulcan side. if the character of his mom isnt human then you take away what made the spock character what he was.

as a 57 year old trekie, the only tv series I did not like was voyger. As for movies,
come on people, its another adventure where no one has gone before. Bring it on.
