(March 24) - California neighbors Britney Spears and Mel Gibson have been "meeting regularly" since the singer checked out of the UCLA psych ward in February, but that's where their relationship ends.

Britney Spears looked happy as she left Los Angeles County Superior court on Tuesday after being given expanded visits with her two sons. Kevin Federline's lawyer told the press that the longer visits are "recognition of the progress that has been made."

According to the Mirror, Spears was reportedly set to perform a gospel song at the Oscar-winner's Catholic church next month.

"There is the possibility that she may even have a new song written for her for the occasion," an insider told the paper.

However, Gibson was quick to shoot down the rumors.

A rep for the actor tells TMZ there isn't "an ounce of truth to it."

chandcrittermom-are you seriously that naive? the biggest sinners can be found in church. mel gibson has no business hanging out with britney spears whatever the reason. He's cheated on his wife before. there are pictures of him with women. he's a drunk, he probably doesn't even remember he's married half the time.

Spears needs to be in a hospital - probably more than she realizes.
As for Gibson, he's and extreamly religious Christian, with a wife and a boatload of children. I have severe doubts that he would sleep with anyone but his wife, much less with one of those Hollywood blonde bimbos.
How sad that so many of our children and teens think that being a **** (and dressing like one) is a good thing.
This makes me glad that I have no children.
