As the wife of a theatre writer (and an editor of an off-off-Broadway theatre magazine) I've seen all the shows listed above. Catered Affair, Xanadu, In The Heights, Young Frankenstein and Little Mermaid were ABOMINABLE. The only good musicals this year were Passing Strange and the revivals of Gypsy and South Pacific. Roger Bart and Cheyenne Jackson were badly miscast in both shows. They don't deserve nominations.

It will be a crime if Patti LuPone doesn't win for Best Actress in a Musical.

It was a great year for plays - with the exception of Is He Dead (thankfully closed). But we all know August: Osage County will win Best Play, even though I thought The Seafarer was better. 39 Steps and November weren't all that great.

The Fabulous Invalid lives on.....Long Live Live Theatre!
