Carlin showed us that we don't have to be so afraid of words. He was brilliant in his comedy and making us laugh at ourselves when confronted with the truth of how ridiculous we are over letter strung together that make words. People who hate on him don't realize what a genius he was and how simple minded they are.

I guess nobody remembers when Jane Fonda used one of *the seven* on live television this year when describing her role in 'The Vagina Monologues'. Not trying to be rude or smart-alecky, just making a point. As for the story at hand: I wasn't offended, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shocked. I guess it's generally true that if certain words are forbidden to be said, their shock value when used is present.
