"As for David A, as nice a kid as he is with a decent voice, he sang ONE chorus of Apologize, leaving the Original Singer to cover the high notes...so how hard is that? "I" can do that, and sound good with such a good 'backing band"! He also copped out on "Imagine', doing only one verse.

I as well as many can make the argument that David A. got screwed the past couple of weeks when it came to song he had to sing. I knew the minute I saw ZZ Top that David A. wouldn't get something at that calibur. As for high notes, David C. has also fallen short sometimes.

"The real singer won this time."

Real singer? What... Were they all lip singing or something?

Really I don't care who won. They'll be forgotton. I can only think of 4 people that many still talk about and they are Kelly, Carrie, Clay, and Chris. Nobody else is really remembered.

"The voting public voted for the best VOICE by a landslide."

The voting system is flawed because everyone is able to vote more then once. For all we know, David A. could of had more people voted for him then David C. But people were voting more for David C. then they were for David A. It's something we'll never know. But the system is flawed for sure.

"The right guy won this time because he's able to entertain an audience and has a really beautiful voice ...if you'd actually taken the time to listen."

You're being hasty since he hasn't come out with an album and any original material yet.

The show is nothing more then a popularity contest. Not a talent contest. If it was about talent, then their would be a different order in the top 12 as well as top 24.

"His version of "Music of the Night' was perfection, and showed his capabilities. He did ZZ Top proud last night"

In your opinion as you're obviously a fan.

"As for David A, as nice a kid as he is with a decent voice, he sang ON

I knew David Cook would win, even though it looked to me as though he may lose it to the younger David on Tuesday night, mainly because of the way Simon was pushing the audience to vote. But what really surprised me was the numbers, I thought it would be a very close win for one of them. I will buy David Cook's album when it's released, I love his voice, it's amazing. The younger David, to me, was too "boy-band", and there are too many of them. Congratulations David Cook! the best AI so far, imo...

sorry, smramply...David Cook does not 'suck'. What an ignorant and stupid statement. So your favourite didn't win... Why insult the one who did? The voting public voted for the best VOICE by a landslide. Should tell you something..that they aren't snowed by on-line blogs and stupidities about 'purity' and popularity and youth. The right guy won this time because he's able to entertain an audience and has a really beautiful voice ...if you'd actually taken the time to listen. His version of "Music of the Night' was perfection, and showed his capabilities. He did ZZ Top proud last night...I don't know what YOU were listening to, clearly not the same show I was. As for David A, as nice a kid as he is with a decent voice, he sang ONE chorus of Apologize, leaving the Original Singer to cover the high notes...so how hard is that? "I" can do that, and sound good with such a good 'backing band"! He also copped out on "Imagine', doing only one verse. The real singer won this time.

It was obvious to me from the getgo that the two Davids would end up as the last finalists. I was always for D. Cook, simply because David A. is too immature to handle the stress if he had been picked. He has a tremendous voice, and will mature into a great signer. However, he lacks (presently) the abiility to handle any type song except the ballads, and you've got to be able to do it all equally well. David C. can do just that. Heck, he could even do country I bet. Simon's comments just before the announcement were very awkward, ambiguous, and I don't think they came out as he had meant for them to. And for him to say, "This is the first time I really don't care who wins," that was inappropriate.

David Cook deserved to win by far! David A is a natural, but his parents should be pushing his education more than his talent. Talent, he will always have, but education is more important now so he can mold his future.

I am so glad David Cook won. I tried for 2 hours to vote but couldn't get through. I hope he does really well with his career.

The two David's are BOTH WINNERS. I PREDICTED THEM RUNNING NECK TO NECK IN THE EARLY STAGES OF THE SHOW.
COOK had much more stage presence and Archuletta was very shy. He will gain confidence as he matures and gets more exposure.
Much congratulations to David Cood for a super job and perserverance.
