PETA Sets Sights on 'Trollsen Twins'

(Dec. 11) - Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are on the receiving end of a new attack Web site by animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for "ignoring pleas to stop wearing fur and using it in their fashion collection."

PETA's Trollsen Twins Web site aims directly at Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's clothing line: "You can help save animals by asking the Trollsen twins to stop wearing fur and to remove fur from their clothing line."

The "Trollsen Twins" campaign, which renames the 21-year-old stars "Hairy Kate and Trashly" and was created by the PETA's youth group peta2, includes a print ad and a Web site.

The site, unveiled on Tuesday, features an interactive game where visitors can dress the twins in assorted dead animals and a video that uses footage from "Full House." The group said the video contains information on how to "get through to the ethically challenged 21-year-olds," adding that their "hearts are apparently as nutrition-starved as the rest of their bodies."

'Full House of Horrors'

In the video, an actor playing a time traveller visits the Tanner home in San Francisco and encourages the rest of the cast to kick Michelle -- played by the twins -- out of the house. Splicing his image inside the set of the hit ABC show, the wisecracking visitor succeeds after filling the family in on future events involving the actresses.

"I know it wasn't easy kicking Michelle out of the house," the actor said. "But the Tanners can't be responsible for raising a pair of trashy fur hags as the Olsen Twins."

In a statement, peta2's Assistant Director of Youth Campaigns Dan Shannon tried to explain the group's motive for targeting the Olsens.

"No one would argue that Mary-Kate and Ashley could use some meat on their bones, but the last thing they need is hair on their backs -- especially when it belongs to someone else," Shannon said. "These two are a couple of real lightweights when it comes to both taste and compassion."

You know what Legghold? I know without a doubt that I'm a better person than you so I won't be checking back or letting you know the facts anymore. I have no tolerance for stupid people and you really take the cake. You should've stayed in school instead of dropping out in the second grade. It's all sad really...just how pathetic you are. Poor soul. I'd be amazed if anyone at all would want to spend Christmas with you. I'll wish you a Merry Christmas anyway.

I don't know where you get your facts but the America I know has evolved into a civilized country that knows compassion. You, apparently, haven't come out of the backwoods in over 150 years. A good idea for us all would be to sit back take a deep breath and think.Figure out which philosophy you choose to live by.If you subscribe to one that differs from the American way of life,life ,liberty and the persuit of personal happiness,Then you might find yourself needing to move to a country that fits your needs.Its apparent there are a growing number of people who would very much like to ,and are little by little destroying the American way of life through unconstitutional legislation ,locally,and nationally.Rather than drive this country into a bloody civil war ...Just be happy and leave.You already quote how great other countries are ...what are you waiting for get going.Theres no other country on this planet like America, which means for you the options are immense .....dont stay and bitch,Lifes too short be happy.
