'CSI' Star Busted for Drug Possession

(April 29) - Gary Dourdan was arrested early Tuesday morning in Palm Springs.

TMZ.com reports that the 'CSI' star was booked on possession of heroin, ecstacy, cocaine and other prescription drugs. The Web site reports that Dourdan was found sleeping in his car, taken in by the police and released on $5000 bail. Read More Arrest Details

Hollywood tough guy Dennis Farina was arrested on May 11 at Los Angeles International Airport trying to board a plane with a loaded gun. He was released on $25,000 bond and was "apologetic and cooperative," according to police.

When it comes to a drug bust that seemingly involves most major narcotics known to man, the timing is never good. But in Dourdan's case, it's particularly rough. The actor's contract is set to expire in May. The star, who has played Warrick Brown through the hit show's eight-year run, was reportedly not going to return next season, according to TV Guide's Michael Ausiello.

CBS would only say "we can't confirm or deny this information."

I think he wasn't being renewed because the powers that be KNEW he had some drug problems. He always had that glazed look to me. I like the show. I try to never miss it. I hope he gets the help he needs because this is a big problem judging by the amounts of drugs found at the scene. He's lucky he didn't kill himself with all those drugs so there's still time for him!!!! Sometimes there IS no more time.
