'Dancing' Ignites Another Romance?

(April 21) -- All the sweating and gyrating on 'Dancing With the Stars' has been the catalyst for several flings and romances, and it looks like Derek Hough and contestant Shannon Elizabeth are the latest duo to take their relationship off of the dancefloor.

Photos of the 'American Pie' actress and the 'Dancing' pro hugging and locking lips on the beach have emerged, marking the first (and probably not the last) couple to result from this season of 'Dancing.' See the Smooch Pics at PEOPLE

'Dancing' Love Connections

Status: Possibly dating

Elizabeth married fellow actor Joseph Reitman in 2002, but the couple announced divorce plans in 2005.

While it's the first time Hough has been romantically linked to a contestant, his sister Julianne is no stranger to the claims. In the fourth season, rumors swirled about a possible relationship between Hough and her partner, skater Apolo Anton Ohno. The very next season, she was forced to deny an affair with another contestant, Helio Castroneves.

Other 'Dancing' relationships include Sabrina Bryan and Mark Ballas, who are still dating, as well as Karina Smirnoff and Mario Lopez, who are also still going strong.

Earlier this season, Smirnoff and her current partner, R&B singer Mario, had to deny that they were an item. Smirnoff joked to PEOPLE in March when asked about the rumors, saying "By the end of the show, I will be pregnant with Mario’s baby."
