NEW YORK (Nov. 8) - It's no go for Rosie.

A possible deal for a one-hour MSNBC talk show hosted by Rosie O'Donnell has collapsed, the comedian said on her Web site late Wednesday.

After announcing she was in negotiations to get her own MSNBC show and would become a rival of FOX News and Bill O'Reilly, Rosie O'Donnell announces on her blog that prospects of the show have collapsed.

"We were close to a deal almost done," O'Donnell wrote on her blog (http://www.rosie.com). Negotiations continued late into Wednesday, but it was clear by evening that there would be no deal and no show.

"My career as a pundit is over b4 it began," O'Donnell wrote.

The onetime moderator on "The View" revealed the potential deal at a Miami book fair during the weekend. She seemed to blame herself for the collapse, saying that her letting it slip in Miami caused "panic."

A show starring O'Donnell would have given MSNBC a liberal counterpunch to the rest of cable news fare that includes CNN's "Larry King Live" and Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes." The channel, which has gotten some lift from "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" at 8 p.m., hasn't seen as much success with either "Scarborough Country" or a talk show hosted by former MSNBC general manager Dan Abrams.

Rosie was interesting and entertaining and it is sad to read others mean spirited comments. I for one would have watched her show along with many of my friends and family-- and no we are not gay!

I love Rosie's style. She has spoken what she thinks - even when that is not popular. I do not agree with much she has said since the View, but I would still watch her in movies and I would listen to a talk show - I like Martha Stewart and Howard Stern - rather ecelectic in my tastes, but open minded to all sides of an argument. YOU GO ROSIE!!! People seem to be rather fair weathered - only if you agree with them are you entitled to their support. AND SEXUAL PREFERENCE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH QUALITY OF CHARACTER!

MSNBC I HOPE YOU'RE READING THIS "IF PUT THAT FAT NASTY RUG MUNCHING LUMBER JACK ON YOUR NETWORK THEN I WILL BLOCK YOU FROM MY CABLE SUBSCRIPTION. ROSIE HAS A BIG MOUTH AND SHE SHOULD DROP DEAD. IT'S DUMB BROADS LIKE HER THAT ARE WHATS WRONG WITH THIS COUNTRY NOT TO MENTION SHE'S SO UGLY IF YOU GAVE HER A LEOPARD TOGA SHE'D PASS FOR FRED FLINTSTONE'S TWIN BROTHER. THINK ABOUT YOUR RATINGS BEFORE YOU AIR THAT DEGENERATE LOSER."

I am glad she did not get the deal,,,I do not want to see her on TV again,,I use to love her to watch her very long time ago, she was hillarious and kind on that show,,but she quit,,and then came back to the View a totally different person, mean, cruel and everything had to be her way, she was just the fipside of the coin she use to be and I honestly can't stand to hear her name period now. so stop giving her reconization for anything please,,there is more important stuff going on in this world and ya'll do not talk about anything good.

This fat p- eating slob is a disgrace to the human race. If anyone sponsors her they will be showing what a failure they have become.

Thank God there is still some common sense functioning on this earth. Rosie O'Donnell shouldn't be allowed to show her ugly face on television unless she is part of the livestock on a show about farm animals. Oddly enough, I do agree with most of what O'Donnell says about Bush and other political matters, but I feel like throwing up every time I see that horrid face of hers.
