(May 8) - Having already been anointed successor to one television legend, Ryan Seacrest may have set his sites on the job of another iconic TV host. If the rumors are true, Seacrest could be sitting in Larry King's throne full time by the end of the year.

Seacrest In,
King Out?

New reports are saying 'American Idol' host and all-around workmonger Ryan Seacrest could be the successor to Larry King's question-tossing CNN seat.

The 'American Idol' emcee, who has been co-hosting 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve' since 2004, is in "serious negotiations" to take over as the host of 'Larry King Live,' a source at CNN tells MSNBC.

Seacrest has been filling in occasionally for King since 2003, and was mentioned by the man himself in April 2007 as a natural to replace him when the time comes.

"He's the classic generalist," King told the New York Times last year. "The only thing I don't know, and I've gotten to know him pretty well, is how versed he is in politics, world affairs. Does he read the paper? Is he interested in Iraq? Because if he is, he's going to be very good."

Whoever replaces Larry King has to wear suspenders and wear shoulder pads, otherwise the flavor will be lost.

I vote for Anderson Cooper or Dan Abrams; not Seacrest, he's too young and full of himself.

I'd like to address this critque to the homeless person who wrote this article for aol. Learn what homophones are. No, they are not homos, nor phones, nor homos with phones. They are two words that sound the same, but mean different things and are spelled DIFFERENTLY. To help you out, I will show you how stupid an author can look by using the wrong word.

"Ryan Seacrest may have set his sites on the job of another iconic TV host."

It, as all people who proofread would know, should look like this: "Ryan Seacrest may have set his sights on the job of another iconic TV host." If an author was to use the word "sites" instead of "sights," they could look stupid, especially in a piece under 200 words long. It begs the question, what kind of mistakes would a full-size article hold?

Time for Larry King to go. He insults my intelligence. Cooper would be a good replacement.

Just what the world needs, to see his face on another program. He's so annoying.

Shatner for the replacement.
