If anyone would have actually been listening to her, then they would have heard her explain her confusion. After they cut away and started the music and all, she tried to explain that the comments she was giving were the comments she had written down about the next contestant in line. It was a song that had already been sung, her notes had just ran together on the paper she was writing on. She explained or tried to, that with them changing things around that she had to jot down her notes quickly. It was a very understandable mistake. It was also a very stupid decision to have the judges give them comments on all the contestants all at the same time instead of immediately after each one had sung their dong.

Oh for goodness sake, this show is so fake and rigged it's not even funny. I remember watching the season with Carrie Underwood. When she tried out, they showed the little bio about her and I knew she was going to win the whole thing. I think they know who the finalists are before they try out, and just let everyone else go in to make fools of themselves.

Evidently Paula Isn't tHe ONLY DUMB ONE At FOX *sigh* It's BAD Business, DumbArses. Poor Brooke Got Kicked Off Cause She Messed Up a Few Lyrics She Didn't Even WRITE.Paula's Been Doing This Crap for YEARS,Too Long for her To Have Any Excuses To Flub Like This...SHE NEEDS TO GO TOO.
SAd..If They Don't CARE What The Viewers Think Then WHY SHould WE CARE if the Show Flops..I Sure As Hell Don't.

The Only REason I'm Gonna Continue Watching Till The End is in Support of JAson and Cook...After That I'm Done.

well this is the deal paula ia soooooooooooooo funny to watch i think she has a sincere heart and is very much worthy of being a judge,,,,,don't be so quick to think she is on something....have you ever heard president bush just talk on his own without a script...he talks in broken sentences to....some people just talk like that...they don't finish one sentence before the thoughts of another interrupt the first...it makes for a messy conversation...i have a sister-in-law who talks like that and she is very straight....i love idol and the judges.... it is perfect and very entertaining....lay off america....be happy for just one moment and enjoy the show...it is a positive force in our oh so negative world.......

Why is Paula still a judge on the show? She has a serious problem of some kind and needs to be replaced.

Now I understand why during the on-air performances the judges are quite often laughing, talking, and appear to not be paying attention. They've already seen the rehearsals.

If they watch the rehearsals, do they also offer "opinions" then too?
