Actually caffiene is a vasoCONSTRICTOR, that's why is raises blood pressure. But studies have shown caffiene intake prior to taking test raises your results.

I don't think caffine is the solution to memory loss. My b/f gets lots of caffine daily and can't remember anything!

This is interesting, considering that Alzheimers runs in my family... another thing that prevents Alzheimer's disease is curry- the kind they use in India? It sounds random, but it turns out that scientists have done studies on this.

My mother drank multiple cups of coffee daily for life. She doesn't have Alzheimer's. She has some other kind of dementia. You cant win some days.

this does not shock me. We all know how much caffeine wakes us up in the morning and how alert it makes us.

I drink coffee every morning, two cups. Any more and I get jittery. I also sometimes lose a lot of sleep at the beginning of the night. I have a harder time falling asleep. I am glad to see that my coffee is doing me some good. It seems to rev me up for doing the deeds of the day. Love, Peace and Wisdom.

How do we know that Starbucks, Maxwell House, and Folgers didn't pay the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease for this study? Huh?? Huh??

Drinking caffine beverages helped my son who was diagnosed with ADHD. A friend told me it helped her son, so I tried it and sure enough if I let him drink caffinated beverages throughout the day he is much more calmer and can focus so much better. I was even able to take him off the Adderall. He went from struggling in school to getting A's and B's and no more teacher's notes about him interrupting the class. And he sleeps much better at night.
