It is funny that those who post and tell of their experiences with the obese, as in airline seats, etc., that they get the 1-2.5 stars for the approval rating. There must be many obese readers venting their votes tonight . I work with fast food and I cannot believe how many times a day I will hear the obese say "I'm starving!" Oh no you're not. You are bored, wanting to get out of the house and fill a void that is a bottomless pit. Children in Third World countries are starving. I know this because I see their BONES straining on their flesh. Look in the mirror and tell me that you are starving.

.It's DISGUSTING to see Obese people eating to their hearts content esp in a restaurant, the kind of food they shove down to their fat-adipose filled intestines just because they can afford the food. While somewhere in another continent people die of starvation and malnourishment. These Blimps needs to wake-up and realize that they make the ecological system imbalance...No.I am not making fun of obese people...I am stating a FACT

Wild the Watcher....It's so easy to be cruel, isn't it? Do you idiot's think people LIKE to be fat? Obesity is often a genetic pre disposition...........I am a RN and I am sick of obese people say "It's genetic." If that was the case then everyone's sisters, brothers, mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins would be obese too. No, it's people that are too lazy to do exercise and push away from the table without that extra peice of pie or that second helping of meatloaf, etc. I see family members of patients that are in the hospital bring McDonalds, Burger King, etc to them because the patient doesn't "like hospital food." If you start to gain weight in the first place why don't you do something about it then instead of waiting when you are 100 lbs overweight? I know about "genetics." I have several fat sisters, several aunts that are overweight and even my mother was on the heavy side when she died. I am 49 years old and I love to eat and if I don't watch what I ea...

KENDRA....so very true. Some of the problem is that people are too lazy to do their own research or work for that matter like you eluded to. Most people think that they should have a huge piece of meat at just about every meal...WRONG....Beans and legumes along with rice are very very healthy and very cheap. A big pot of beans along with whatever you want to add is a great source of protein. Big pots of soups are also very good for you and less fattening. Where there is a will there is a way. But many people just sit back and say they cannot afford it. I observe what people are buying in the stores and I am afraid to say it is not good in a lot of the carts. Vegetable gardens are a great source of saving money and growing HEALTHY veggies as well. Good suggestion

I agree with Randy, sort of. I live in West Virginia. And yes, I have all of my teeth, I am not fat, hairy, or a baby factory. I am well educated and I don't live in a holler. I am saddened by this for many reasons, but mostly because WV had to implement a summer food program this year for school children, because almost 30% of the state's children go hungry in the summer. I see it first hand. I have been feeding the little girl across the street from me every day. She plays with my daughter, and I just have her stay for dinner everyday. She looked at me like she won the lottery the first night I invited her to stay. Her parents are good people, they make too much for food stamps but barely enough to scrape by. So, it's safe for me to say that it pisses me off that all these kids are hungry, yet all these fat asses are running around here. I agree that healthy food is expensive, but this is a rural state. Get off your lazy ass and plant a garden. I live in the city and have a garden. A...
