(March 26) - A British TV presenter who contracted a flesh-eating disease in Peru last summer is reliving the nightmare now that the disease has returned, London's the Daily Mail reported.
Ben Fogle, 35, who has already endured months of treatment in efforts to zap the leishmaniasis bug, now must undergo more chemotherapy.
The adventurer contracted the disease after being bitten by a sand fly that carried protozoan parasites while he was filming in the Peruvian jungle. He told London's the Telegraph that he fears his setback may be the result of the 500-mile trek to the South Pole he did in December with Olympic rower James Cracknell.
