Police say a North Carolina man drove his car into a hot dog stand after the vendor refused to sell him a hot dog and a drink for a dollar. David Kelbaugh, 23, allegedly got into his car and rammed the stand twice, then fled. He was subsequently arrested and released on $6,000 bond.

In April 2006, an irritated David Hackbart gave the finger to a driver who yelled at him -- only to discover that he had flipped off a cop. After Hackbart was ticketed, the ACLU sued on his behalf, arguing that the gesture is constitutionally protected free speech. Now the Pittsburgh City Council has tentatively approved a $50,000 settlement to Hackbart.

An Indiana father is arrested after he calls 911 to report his tractor-trailer missing -- with his son inside. On the call, the 39-year-old man says his truck was stolen while he was in a strip club. Police charge him with child neglect and public intoxication after the child was found safe in the semi, right where the man said he parked it.

Kentucky State Police say a census worker staged his own death to look like a homicide. Bill Sparkman, 51, left, was found hanging from a tree with the word "fed" on his chest in September. Authorities say he had taken out two life insurance policies recently.
