China Arnold, who was convicted of killing her infant daughter by microwaving her, is spared the death penalty after jurors are unable to agree on a sentence. As a result, the toughest sentence she faces is life in prison without parole. Arnold's sentencing is set for Monday.

Police said Tuesday they believe Christopher Foster, a former millionaire gone bust, killed his wife and daughter, set their home on fire and then shot himself.

An Egyptian lawmaker and business tycoon was arrested Tuesday in the slaying of Lebanese pop singer Suzanne Tamim, Egypt's chief prosecutor said. The 30-year-old chanteuse was found decapitated in her Dubai apartment in July.
