In what could prove to be one of the biggest counterterrorism seizures in U.S. history, federal prosecutors seek the forfeiture of properties owned by a nonprofit Muslim organization accused of transferring money to a state-owned Iranian bank. The properties include four mosques and a New York City skyscraper.

The citizens of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, are pleading for U.N. peacekeeping troops to combat drug-related violence. The Mexican government has already sent 5,000 soldiers to the area, but Ciudad Juarez still has one of the highest homicide rates in the world -- about seven killings per day, in a city of 1.5 million.
