Hurricane Kyle delivers a glancing blow to Maine before making landfall in Nova Scotia. While Kyle brought heavy rains to the area, most Maine residents seemed unimpressed with one local official calling it "a run-of--the mill storm."

Churning south of Bermuda, Tropical Storm Kyle grows in the open Atlantic. Forecasters say the storm could become a hurricane by Saturday. Kyle is the 11th named storm of the Atlantic hurricane season.
