At the Gridiron Club dinner earlier this year, Vice President Joe Biden revealed the secret spot where Dick Cheney and his top aides were taken immediately after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, according to Newsweek.

The Democrat said that a young naval officer who was giving him a tour of the Naval Observatory in Washington, which is Biden's new home and where Cheney lived for eight years, showed him the bunker-like room behind what Newsweek describes as being "a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock."
During the event, Biden apparently implied to the guests around him that his predecessor's isolation was a factor in some of the controversial policies that followed, Newsweek reported.
