Obama's Afghan War Plan Is Tough Sell

In his address Tuesday night about the war in Afghanistan, President Obama will call for adding as many as 35,000 more U.S. troops, outline a revamped strategy to train Afghan security forces, and lay out an exit strategy. But his plan faces considerable obstacles, not the least of which are a negative public and the Democratic-controlled Congress.

Obama Visits Great Wall on China Trip

On the tail end of a high-profile trip to China meant to show U.S. re-engagement with the region, President Barack Obama visits the country's manmade wonder, the Great Wall. "It's magical," he says of the structure. "It reminds you of the sweep of history and our time here on earth is not that long. We better make the best of it."
