E-mails between the White House state dinner crashers and a Pentagon official show that the couple arrived at the event without a confirmed invitation. Just after the event, they e-mailed the official to say they went to the gate "to just check in" and they were allowed in.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney says he isn't interested in running for president in 2012. "Why would I want to do that? It's been a hell of a tour," Cheney says in an interview. "I've loved it. I have no aspirations for further office." However, he believes Republicans have a good shot at taking back the White House.

A new poll says that Americans consider Rush Limbaugh the nation's most influential conservative voice -- by a wide margin. According to the poll, which was conducted by "60 Minutes" and Vanity Fair, Limbaugh easily trounced such competitors as Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and Dick Cheney.
