Crash Victim Injured Second Time

Still recovering from a car crash that killed four of her friends, a sleeping 15-year-old Florida girl is awoken by an SUV plowing through her bedroom wall. Pinned by the vehicle, the girl suffers multiple injuries. The driver of the SUV is a 19-year-old male who took his eyes from the road to look at his cell phone, police say.

Arrest in Gym Teacher Murder

A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the stabbing murder of an elementary school gym teacher. Eric Lau was apprehended after a two-day manhunt that ended when police dogs tracked Lau to the woods in New City, N.Y. Lau pleaded not guilty to murdering 32-year-old Jami Erlich, who lived in the same apartment building as Lau.
