Moonshine Sold at Day Care, Police Say

A North Carolina woman is charged with selling moonshine out of the day care center she ran. Authorities say there were children in the center when an undercover agent went in to buy two gallons of the homemade liquor. An 82-year-old man has been charged with making the moonshine. Officials seized more than 80 gallons of moonshine from him.

The doctor who attended to President John F. Kennedy in Dallas after he was shot dies at the age of 80. Dr. Malcolm Oliver Perry II tried without success to revive the dying president on Nov. 22, 1963, performing a tracheotomy and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Perry was suffering from lung cancer.

President Barack Obama unveils a package designed to create jobs and bring down the country's 10 percent unemployment rate. Marine Dies in Argument Over Game

North Carolina authorities say Johnathan Clinton Rodriguez, a 21-year-old Marine, was shot to death while arguing with a fellow soldier over a college football game. Rodriguez and 23-year-old Lionel Loya had gotten into a scuffle about the Texas-Nebraska contest when Loya's gun accidentally went off, fatally hitting Rodriguez.
