Introducing Power Line AOL

We want to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves to those who are not already familiar with our web site, Power Line. We are three lawyers, John Hinderaker, Scott Johnson and Paul Mirengoff. We began writing commentary on politics and current events for newspapers and magazines in the early 1990s, and started Power Line in 2002 to take advantage of the immediacy and reach of the internet. We are conservatives, and our commentary generally reflects that perspective.

We also like to take a break from the news from time time to write about other subjects. Scott writes often on popular music, and, in the unlikely event that you are interested in English Premier League soccer--sorry, Paul--Paul's posts on that subject will be informative.

In addition to our main site, Power Line, we also have a news site, creatively named Power Line News, where you can keep up with breaking news and access the latest commentary from ten of our favorite blogs. And we recently started the Power Line Forum, where our readers--anyone, actually--can comment on our posts, on the day's news stories, and on culture and the arts.

We are excited about being part of the AOL team. The people at AOL have been great to work with, and we hope this venue will bring us a lot of new readers. We hope you will enjoy what we do, and we look forward to hearing from you.
