In a post yesterday, Cenc Uygur refers to Rudy Giuliani as "the most dangerous candidate in America." Here's a transcript of an interview Giuliani did yesterday with radio talk show host, and influential conservative author and blogger, Hugh Hewitt. Based on the way Rudy handles himself, Rudy may well be the most dangerous candidate in America if you're committed to electing a Democratic president in 2008.
Giuliani does have hidden liabilities, of course. Although his non-conservative positions on abortion, gay marriage, and gun control are known to conservative activists, who seem surprisingly unconcerned, they are not yet widelyl known to rank-and-file social conservatives, who may be less forgiving.
In addition, Rudy apparently has all sorts of personal baggage from his day's as mayor, and perhaps more recently in connection with his business dealings. But if Rudy's opponent ends up being Hillary Clinton, it's hard to see how he comes off any worse than even in the baggage department.
In any case, the ability Giuliani shows in the Hewitt interview to present himself as likeable (notice the self-effacing comments), tolerant, competent, and experienced (notice the references to his service during Reagan era) would serve him very well against any Democratic opponent.

31. I believe Mr. Giuliani can do alot for our country. I would love to see a President who can help this country like he has helped NYC. Many in my extended family vote Democrate. My husband and I on the other hand have always voted for who we felt would better represent us and that has never turned out to be a democrate. I have to say that I was not happy to see that Hillary Clinton was running for President. I think that would be one of the worst mistakes our country could make would be to put her in office. I have never been active in politics but I guess this election I need to be.

32. Rudy Giuliani will be the best President of all!
Look people at what he did for New York. It is a safe place to be, before Rudy- Times Square was off limits to families after 9...He did step up for 911, and he fights for his cause. He is the "People's President".
Pleez with the 3 wife remarks... What president hasn't cheated.? Even the one's whom we love the most did...so thats acceptable? At least this time we will have a President who seems to be in love with his wife as opposed to the "perfect fake presidential wife with the unmovable hair and the phony smiles..
Lets put the Presidential race into perspective..its not about the personal issues, Its about what can he do to restore our country to dignity and end this War!
