It's not Al Gore that needs redemption. It's America. There isn't a sane person alive that doesn't think we would have been better off if we elected Al Gore instead of George Bush in 2000 (and of course we did -- more Americans voted for him even back then). Now America might get a second chance. It's time for redemption. It's time to get it right now.
Watch Al Gore in the speech below and see what a man of strength and principle looks like. Watch what this country might have been -- and might still be.

You can watch the whole speech here.

1. As soon as Al Gore clears up the global warming problem, I trust he'll demand an investigation into why the polar caps on Mars are melting.
Although, we all know it's GW's fault.
Fred at 1:21AM on Mar 21st 2007
2. Gore running would be outstanding. What a contrast too. A strong, diverse Democratic field of candidates vs a phenomenally weak Republican crop. And that's without Gore.
Actually Fred, GW is in hot water over global warming. He trashed the Kyoto Protocol(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyoto_Protocol#Opposition).
Dan at 2:33AM on Mar 21st 2007
3. Are you serious? We would DEFINITELY NOT have been better off with Gore, than Bush. Global warming is not completely man-made. It's a natural phase that our planet is going through. Al Gore is a psycho who thinks he invented the internet. Get real!
Patricia at 3:13AM on Mar 21st 2007
4. Who trashed Kyoto Dan?
You can't "trash" something never was sent to the Senate for ratification. If any one trashed it the U.S. Senate did by a 95 to 0 in March 2001.
Nice try at rewriting history but alas you failed.
As for Gore, so call me one of the millions that are insane. Gore won't run and if he did he'd get tossed aside, again.
Marc at 5:20AM on Mar 21st 2007
5. haha, how do you get "tossed aside again" after winning the majority of the votes?
ppc at 6:35AM on Mar 21st 2007
6. Cenk - By calling people with different opinions insane you show yourself not to be a serious thinker, but rather a person illequipped to defend his own positions with reason and maturity.
Ppc – Al Gore never won a majority of the votes.
Greg at 11:00AM on Mar 21st 2007
7. By radicalizing the global warming discussion with hysterical and totally unsubstantiated claims, Mr. Gore is doing his country a huge disservice. Just the opinion of one insane person.
Dad at 12:44PM on Mar 21st 2007
8. Patricia,
The quote by Gore was altered by the MSM and right-wing talkers. You've probably never heard what Gore actually said, which can be found at:
http://www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.asp
Greg,
Gore won the nationwide vote by 543,895 citizens.
What do you mean by "Al Gore never won a majority of the votes?"
lil_turk at 11:43PM on Mar 21st 2007
9. And lets pretend that Al Gore didn't win the majority of the votes. The difference in the election was like less than 1% or so? Not exactly "tossing aside" someone. Sounds like another one of those republicanisms where you say one thing but it's the complete opposite.
