Rocky Anderson, if nothing, is an interesting guy. He's the liberal mayor of a conservative town: Salt Lake City, Utah. Here he exchanges blows with the Clubber Lang of cable news, Bill O'Reilly. Who wins this fight? (By the way, I'm a Mr. T fan, so I'm in no way connecting O'Reilly and T.)

1. "Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..."

2. I dont know which world Bill O' lives in, he act like he is a reincarnation of Adolfhitler or Josep Stalin. He invites guests only to put them down, and call names. He never wanted to argue a point and let the other side be heard. He better take a course in democracy101 and understand, what democracy is all about. In my openion, he should not be in the public air waves of this great country.

3. O'Reilly loses on this one... while I wouldn't support Rocky Anderson on this one, he ought to at least have been afforde the opportunity to present his views, and not be belittled by the Host.
Phil at 3:39PM on Mar 22nd 2007
4. This should be required viewing for the duration of enduring O'Reilly's dump on our collective heads. Da Mayuh's got good logic.

5. Further proof that Bill Orally is stupid. FOX Noise is nothing but..noise! No one can debate unless they can outyell Bill, Sean and the other rightwing crackpots. Hey Bill, get a new vibrator to stick up your butt!

6. O'Really has lost this onair "Debate" by demonstrating a low level of journalistic professionalism...not simply RUDE, but blatantly steamroller tactics to further his own political agenda...contemptable interviewing techniques combined with unfair and unethical conversational skills proves this man to be what his opposition often accuses him of being...biased, vicious, maipulative and a host of other equally malicious adjectives. This is NOT journalism!!! This is sensationalized propoganda at its worst...a public relations technique used by NAZIS and other dictators the world has seen throughout history. Network puppetry produced by partisan network owners and political strategists that use men like O'Reilly by PAYING them, NOT to report, or inform the public, but to smear, discredit, and in any way necessary defuse their opponents through namecalling, subliminal messaging (via language and demeanor)and overall control of content...NOT good journalism, NOT good diplomacy, NOT even polite conversation/dialogue...NO respect for this man! I consider him a media "leader" of SHEEP!

7. Why does Rocky Anderson want our president impeached? All I can gather from this guy is that he is a socialist and our president believes people should work for a living. I don't think believing in supporting yourself is an impeachable offense.
Mike D at 4:06PM on Mar 22nd 2007
8. Bill O'Reilly is a nut job.
John at 4:07PM on Mar 22nd 2007
9. Those who attack O'Reilly usually do so because of his forceful advocacy of views repugnant to the left. Sometimes he loses his cool. Both were on display in his interview with "Rocky" Anderson. Anderson is clearly off to the extreme left, but his measured tone and demeanor made Bill look like the extremist. And Bill violated one of his own tenets -- no name-calling -- when he labelled Anderson a "kook." I've seen O'Reilly melt down before, and it simply antagonizes his audience. Bill was right in his stance, but nonetheless lost the exchange.

10. There is a huge difference between removing Saddam from power and the invasion and occupation of Iraq. The information that was provided by the Bush Administration was cherry picked and used to buttress their positions and to mislead and sway others to a position that they would never have countenanced otherwise. Impeachment... You bet!
William at 4:15PM on Mar 22nd 2007
11. Bill really had rocky on the ropes,in fact it seem like rocky was punch drunk.Mr. O'Reilly is doing a great job going after those nitwits from the far,and I mean far left.

12. You people are funny to listen to. I never respond to the ignorance of others with offensive remarks but I feel compelled to jump in on this one. The right wing crackpots, I believe, one of you writers eloquently put it, are the only reason any sense is made in this country. While you may not agree with how we think, hey, we don't care our constitution gives us the right to be heard just like you liberal cry babies that want everything done for you...No one forced the DEMOCRATS to jump on board with going to war. They did it because it was popular at the time. That is what the LIBERALS in this country do. They wait for something to be popular with the people and they jump on the band waggon, but when the popularity dies down they jump off and point the finger at the nearest republican. How about you people stand up for something for once in your lives. GET A BACK BONE!!!! Although I do not agree with everything Bill O'Reily does say I am happy a station (FOX) is giving the right wing people a chance to speak, AND FOR ONCE OUR OPINION IS BEING HEARD. The main stream media is so far left that no one could ever see the truth!!!!!! TRUTH WHAT A CONCEPT. WHY DON'T YOU PEOPLE TRY USING IT SOMETIME!!!!
TRACY at 4:36PM on Mar 22nd 2007
13. Mr. Anderson and Donald Trump both agree that Mr. Bush should be impeached. I agree also, he is incompetent and has harmed America.
John B. Sullivan, Jr. at 4:40PM on Mar 22nd 2007
14. I am so sick of listening to Bill O'. I just cant understand:
A. Who could watch that segment and find it intresting, instructive or educational.
B. How this man still has his own prime time show?
I think Anderson might have had some intresting thoughts and/or opinions that even though they may not be what the audience who view Bill O's show agree with, they turned the program on to watch a debate and not just Bill tell someone how "kooky" they are. I feel dumber for watching Bill talk

15. They pay you $10,000,000 for this propaganda. Why don't you gp to Iraq as a reporter with the troops or are you a big mouthed coward with a big yellow stripe. The Mayor wins!
