The non-news news today is that CNN reporter Michael Ware heckled John McCain during a press conference yesterday. McCain paid a surprise visit to Baghdad in an attempt to show his comments of last week were not as outlandish as some - including Ware - said. In the video below, Ware denies any heckling. It would be great to see the video of the press conference. So, if anyone has that footage, please do send it along. Read more here.
UPDATE: You can watch the video of the press conference here.

16. It is absolutely amazing how the nincompoop neo con repigs still don't get it. Is there a copy of the news conference showing Michael Ware heckling John McCain ???? The answer is No. What is with the Drudge report of unnamed sources ???? If there is even an iota of truth, show us the proof but you chicken shit assholes don't have any proof. John McCain was wearing a bullet proof vest and was surrounded by 100 soldiers so, of course, he is going to feel safe. At the same time, the U.S. lost 6 more soldiers in case any of you dumb ass neo cons want to give a shit about. And for all you nincompoop neo cons who feel so brave sitting on your ass in front of the computer, please get up and enlist regardless of your age so the military can send you to Iraq. Live there without getting hurt or maimed or killed, then you can tell us how safe you are in Iraq. If you are chicken shits, then at least have the guts to get your head out of the sand and use your God given brains to think for yourself by doing some research to get the facts instead of parroting the same old pathetic recycled shit because you allow dumb asses in this administration, Hannity and Rushes to do your thinking. Otherwise, shut the hell up.

17. I"ve read some articles about Ware. He is an intelligent and well informed left wing liberal journalist. What I find astounding is that if Ware has such great contacts and knows so much...why isnt he sharing this with the CIA and the Pentagon? Oh thats right..that is what left wing journalists do...get great sources, great intelligence...then write how the government is stumbling around. I guess it makes him feel like a man i guess. You'd think he would be sharing all this so as to end the fighting quickly so we can get out. But no....he uses this fake "journalist integrity" to allow the bloodshed and deaths to go on longer and longer. Go ahead Ware...tell Cindy Shehan that you might have known something to prevent her son from dying, but your journalistic integrity wouldnt allow you to share it.

18. First...as experienced as Ware is....you must remember he was/is a lawyer..so integrity level is expected to be nil or low. As to comments about Drudge vs AP...god help us...you cant be serious. AP, much like NY Times, Times Mag, CNN, and Rueters stopped being honest information merchants years ago. And the comments "Ware by virtue of his experience has superior credibility to McCain or Bush who has yet to show up with another plastic turkey as he did during Thanksgiving in the dead of night" lets understand that McCain is loved by the liberals when he tears into Republicans and is hated when he doesnt. Also credibility of Ware vs Bush...I dont doubt that Ware is more experienced, but unless he USES that experience wisely and helps with the war on Terror...he comes across as he does--selfish, mean, one-sided liberal. Remember this guy is supposed to KNOW so much...but somehow he refuses to share it with the Pentagon. Also as for photo ops....explain Pelosi's jaunt to Syria? The woman is crazy thinking she has any idea of what she is doing..but hey she is the democrat's speaker.

19. McCain has vindicated himself for the hatchet job CNN tried last week. Wolf Blitzer asked Michael Ware what he thought about McCain's comment about a General being able to drive the streets of Bagdad in a Humvee. Ware responded by calling the comment "laughable" and saying McCain is losing credibility. Who is this guy to comment on american politics along with his news reports? Blitzer lost credibility with me by running with the story. He never gave McCain a chance to respond or clarify his statement, and McCain has done so now. McCain has made the point: "things are getting better."
Fox News always gives people a chance to respond to criticism for statements they make. Wolf Blitzer does not. He knows he is losing the ratings battle to Fox so he is trying to appease his liberal base with biased news story's. CNN needs to fire Michael Ware, and disassociate themselves with his liberal activism. He has no credibility with me. Wolf Blitzer has lost credibility with me. McCain remains a brave American hero to me.
I support McCain for President in 2008.!!!!!!!

20. I like Sen. McCain. But CNN's Ware is 100% correct. Having 100 armed U.S. servicemen surround either the Senator or the new Commanding General for walks around Iraq do not validate McCain. And keep Drudge out of the news business.

26. WARE MADE A COMPLETE JERK OF HIMSELF. I DON'T BELIEVE HIS CREDIBILITY IS ANYTHING AS GOOD AS McCAINS...WARE JUST WANTS McCAIN TO LOOK BAD,BUT HIS COMMENT ONLY MADE HIMSELF LOOK BAD. WHAT A JERK.
Emily at 1:41PM on Apr 3rd 2007
27. NO ONE LIKES WAR...NO ONE, BUT BY DANG I WOULD SURE HATE THE CONSEQUENCES OF DOING NOTHING ABOUT TERRORISM. McCAIN HAS A GOOD INSIGHT ON THINGS ABOUT TERRORISM AND I STAND WITH HIM. I DON'T KNOW WHAT WARES HIDEN MOTIVE IS FOR HIS COMMENTS, BUT I DO KNOW WHAT McCAIN IS TRYING TO SAY AND DO FOR OUR COUNTRY IN SERIOUS TIMES.......I STAND SOLID WITH McCAIN.

28.
After all the nonsense blasting Ware look at the story on Drudge tonight - "McCain regrets his remarks on security in Baghdad saying he "misspoke".
And this is directly from Drudge. Not one word about the "heckling" story that was "developing" a few days ago - that story now appears to be "undeveloping".
What is so difficult about the truth for some to accept ? Yet again today we see the Vice-President of the United States trying to pass off a fabricated story as the truth one more time. Why ?
