Newt Gingrich's Spanish Apology

How do you not love this? Are any of the Republicans who hate "the illegals" going to vote for him after this? Yeah, yeah, I know they claim it's not about them being Mexican, but about them being illegal. Get real, the Tom Tancredo crowd that watches this video will never consider voting for Gingrich again.
Here's the whole Gingrich apology on You Tube (for his 'ghetto' comment). It's both painful and funny at the same time. It goes on and on. Somebody make him stop.
So, does this make it better? Is apology accepted? And do you believe him that he didn't really mean that Spanish was the language of the ghetto?

21. I'm trying to figure out what the "Pro-Newt comment" people don't get? It wasn't his overall opinion that got him to apologize, (in Spanish, by the way, which negates his whole immersion in English thing). It was the fact that he stated Spanish is a language of living in the ghetto. There is obviously no fact to that statement. That's like saying, being White means that you are a racist. (That would be politically incorrect, but to some people like David Vail acceptable, but it is a false statement.) Newt would have been better served to leave those eight words out of his statement, but he didn't. That is what this whole thing is about. So, yes, I agree let's tell the truth at all cost. There is no proof that Spanish is a language of the ghetto and there is no proof that all White people are racist. Thanks. dr

24. I don't see why Newt Gingrich has to offer an apology in Spanish. This is where you liberals miss the point. Many Gaelic speaking Irish, many Italians, Germans, Polish and other nationalites who came to America learned the language, ENGISH. We didn't have to hang 15 different road signs in 15 different languages or exit signs in 15 different languages when they came over. So if an apology was necessary ... let them learn and speak English instead of criticizing Newt ... an American as to how he attempts to speak their language. And if Newt Gingrich decides to run for office ... he still has my vote.
