The Israelis were not amused; the Washington Post was far from impressed, but Nancy Pelosi's trip to Syria is drawing rave reviews from terrorists. Indeed, a multipartisan terrorist consensus has coalesced to sing the praises of the House Speaker.
Khaled Al-Batch, a spokesman for Islamic Jihad, expressed hope that Pelosi would continue winning elections, and added that her Damascus visit demonstrated her understanding of the Middle East. Similary, Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas' military wing in the Gaza Strip, said the willingness by U.S. lawmakers to talk with Syria "is proof of the importance of the resistance against the U.S." To this terrorist, then, Pelosi's visit represents something like a reward for making war on the U.S. and its allies.
The aptly named Jihad Jaara, of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades terror group and the infamous leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, was perhaps the most eloquent of Pelosi's terrorist admirers. He gushed: "I think it's very nice and I think it's much better when you sit face to face and talk to Assad. It's a very good idea. I think she is brave and hope all the people will support her. All the American people must make peace with Syria and Iran and with Hamas?"

1. POLOSI IS ANOTHER JANE FONDA. SHE DOES NOT KNOW HER BUTTT FROM A HOLE IN THE GROUND ABOUT WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE MIDDLE EAST. SHE IS THE TYPE OF PERSON THAT WOULD SELL OUT AMERICA AND NOT EVEN KNOW IT.

3. The minute I saw Miss Nancy in her scarf, I knew she looked a fool to the entire world. Can you imagine Condi in a scarf. It was demeaning to women and to America. She is not the Secretary of state; she is not the president; she is not a diplomat. What she is is inexperienced, ineffectual, and she's done a lot of damage to the image of the democratic party. Shame on her for her failed grand-standing. Got what she deserved.

4. OK, where did you get your talking points? No problem if Republican lawmakers visit Syria. N.P. is different. She's a woman and a Democrat. I see your point. Ha!

5. It may be that Nancy Pelosi is fact finding
rather than making a statement about terrorism.
We all remember how Bill Frist made a diagnosis
about a woman who was in a coma by looking at
a film of the woman, and we know how that turned
out. He was completely wrong in his diagnosis.
So, if Nancy Pelosi wants to get a look at reality
before she makes an assessment of what is happening
in the Middle East, then more power to her.

7. If we don't attempt to carry on a diolog with our enemies, they will always be our enemies. Our president has been working vary hard to make sure they remain our enemies. The only other option I see is genocide, and I think our beloved "W" is working on that too!!

9. Polosi definately did the "right" move. She has shown that we are not a "nation of warriors". The world needs to know we are "peace makers". We believe there are good and evil people all over the world and that we are tolerant of the views of others. We have shown and will contiue to show that we are "not the Ugly Americans". Of course, there are some who are willing not only to trample on our constitution but on our civil rights. We are giving these politicans the "Boot". Bye-bye Bush and White House gang!!

12. Yes, Bush is our elected President but as a leader he is a failure. He got us into this war and hasn't the slightest idea how to get us out. Had he used diplomacy at the start and allowed the UN to continue to do its job in Iraq, we wouldn't be there today and 3200+ of our troops would still be alive. But, no, that's not the cowboy way. Bush has lost the confidence and support of the country (he already lost it with the world), and so Congress and others can either sit on their hands and twiddle thumbs until this mistake-of-a-leader is out of office -- or they can try to do something, try to take the lead, try to be responsible. "Stay the course" and "surges" are what you do when you really have no creative ideas and you're too arrogant to see the forest for the trees. The Bushies are jealous because Pelosi showed them up. Support our President? No, I won't, not when he's so dead wrong. I'm not a lemming.

14. Weren't there Republicans with her? You wouldn't know it. It is being billed as the 'Non-stop Nancy show'. What she did/said was wrong. If you don't like Bush's policy fine but she does not set forgien policy. Bush will be gone in a year and until then she should be doing the job she was elected to do. Non-stop over stepped her bounds just like the Bush administration is being investigated for. Executive, Legislative and judical are seperate remember. Of course the rules rarely apply to Dems.

15. Spoken (writen) like a true "Right wing nut." James baker said we should have dialogue with Iran and Syria. Is James Baker also a "terrorist admirer?" How about ChucK Hagel? Bush has failed and ignored the Iraq study group recomendations and now it is time to try something else. You belong on talk radio there are plenty of ignorant people who would buy what you are selling.
