Nancy Pelosi's trip to Damascus received rave reviews from an asortment of terrorists, but was the subject of concern in Israel and among certain liberal media outlets here at home. Now Lebanon's Daily Star weighs in, calling her trip a "fool's errand."
The Daily Star is unhappy that Pelosi told Syria's dictator that "the road to solving Lebanon's problems passes through Damascus." The Lebanon newspaper reminds the dilettante diplomat that "the spirit and letter of successive United Nations Security Council resolutions, as well as Saudi and Egyptian efforts in recent weeks, have been destined to ensure precisely the opposite [of what Pelosi is encouraging]: that Syria end its meddling in Lebanese affairs."

31. The Bush regime has never attempted diplomacy. Finally it takes an American-Italian grandmother to start some dialogue! I travel the world and know that Europeans will take note ( and heart) that Pelosi has the smarts to begin some kind of outreach. If we don't 'dialogue' we will never find out what actions need to be taken / and what they are up to.

32. Pelosi is dangerous. She violated the Logan Act which is a FELONY. EVERY American should be upset about this stupid woman. I hope she gets charged and spends some time in jail ... and also is impeached for this serious offense. I have lost complete respect for the Democratic Party. It is NOW in control of the "loonies".

33. It is becoming the norm for Democrats to defend their position by pointing out the past mistakes of Republicans. In my book, two wrongs don't make a right. In fact when they point out that republicans did the same thing they are in essence admitting the speaker of the house was in error.
What the speaker of the house did was a crime in the true sense. She should be investigated and prosecuted. At the minimum the house ethics committee should investigate and censor. Oh yeah, she's a democrat so that will never happen.
