77. Al Sharptons and Jessie the bullshit Reverend's attempts at ripping up the Iman make a piranhas feeding frenzy look like a child eating baby food. Iman's 30 year humor's description of the contrasts of opposing basketball teams got him shreded to the bones by these two Reverend A-Holes. Iman has been mocking everybody in his witty, and distinct style that has made him a radio Icon forever. Some say he crossed the line this time with a sexist, and racial overtone. Maybe he did or maybe didn't, however he had enough integrity to understand that to some really nice ballplayers from Rutgers he did, and sincerely apologized for his non-intended offending remarks. Reducing an Icon who has helped millions, including his devoted support for kids with cancer for a brain-freezed remark is at best a character assassination by these two Reverend Non-human cut-throat bastards, who in their past were responsible for spitting on peoples foods, inciting riots on false pretenses, intended name-degrading of other races, and on and on. Where's their apologies!

78. Why is it that white peoples can't see that this man statement was totally out of line, and should be fired, and you talk about rap songs and what's in them, either you buy it or not, this is totally difference from the stupid statement that Imus made. And then you talk about Rev. Jackson and Rev. sharpeton, they didn't made the racist statement, that fool did.

Hey Don,
I have been listening to Bill O'reilley and just could not stand hearing him group you in with Howard Stern and the other "Shock Jocks" as Mr. O'Reilley put it. So I wrote him this e-mail. Who knows if it will get read but I feel that it needed to be said. Anyone that has been listening to you for as long as I have knows that your not a racist. Your comment was meant to be funny but face it, not funny. I get it but those that don't listen to you don't and never will. I hope that this situation resolves itself to your benefit. We would all be lacking without you on the air (Sorry for sucking up)
Hang in there

Dear Mr. O'reilley,
Let me preface this e-mail with the fact that I have been an Imus and O'reilley listener for years.
The country would be much worse off if not for your programing bringing common sense attention to the issues that form this nation. That said, I feel as thought you have judged Don Imus unfairly.
Don does not deserve to be grouped in with the likes of Howard Stern and other "Shock Jocks".
There is no excuse for what he said about the Rutckers girls, but I do believe that he got caught up in the moment and forgot that these young women were college students and not your run of the mill "celeb. of the day" that the radio community satirizes as part of their programing every day.
Don Imus is a good guy and as anyone that has listened to his program will tell you, not a racist.
Dom runs a ranch for children with cancer, he raises money yearly through radio telethons for causes like the Tomorrow's Children fund, he has used his program to address issues such as autism and toxic cleaning products.
In other words like I said above Don Imus is a good guy. He gives back to his community and the world selflessly and with generosity.
You won't see Howard Stern or the other "Shock Jocks" doing a fraction of what Imus does in one year to help others.
Please don't get me wrong, what he said was not acceptable and he should be taken to task.
But to group him in with the other "Shock Jocks" just isn't right.
Also, if you take notice of how he has handled this issue, you will see that he has been a stand-up guy, taken responsibility, no excuses.
Thank you
Will Rodgers

81. I would venture to say that many people willing to say that since Imus has apologized all should be forgiven are not African-Americans. This is not to say that Caucasians or others don't see or understand racism but let's be realistic. One will never be able to understand something exactly the same way as another until they have walked in that person's shoes. So for everyone out there saying Imus just used bad judgement or that he didn't mean it, you all just don't get it. It's like having every thing that's ever been done or said to you, wrapped in a neat little package, being handed to you and being told, "Here you go, here's s**t with a smile", because that person has the power to do it and does not fear reprisal. It is unacceptable and that is why there is so much controversy. At some point, enough is enough!

82. Sharpton and Jackson think the rules don't apply to them! And the saddest part is that whites and blacks never get closer to real understandin or dialogue because these two clowns deal in HATE and creating rifts where there should be none. I say that all thinking people should put sonsors of Sharpton's radio show on notice that they will be boycotted, started today. Time to FIGHT BACK!!!

83. WHEN ARE WE GOING TO REALIZE THE WHITE MALE IS REALLY THE MINORITY. WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH W/ SHARPTON AND JACKSON. THEY JUST WANT SOME MONEY. DON IMUS DOES MORE FOR INNER CITY KIDS THAN THEY DO

84. How can a black man on a commerical for the popular show Surviver say, "he dances like a white guy", be less racial and not lose their funding from advertisers than "nappy-headed hos." Because a black man said one and a white man said the other. It depends on who says the comment. Black people use the "N" word, and it's fine; but if white people say the "N" word it's on the news. Can a white person apply for the United Negro College Fund? Why not?

85. MSNBC .. a bunch of chicken s@#$s!I won't be watching that channel anymore and will boycott the show's sponsers.

86. I hope that NBC, MSNBC, CBS, American Express, P&G, GM and all other sponsors will also divest from any station that plays or promotes gangsta rap or any other music that denegrates women and promotes violence in our society. The general public has had to listen to this garbage for long enough. Equal rights is equal rights. As far as Imus, he should have been gone 20 years ago!

87. READ THIS!
First of all, white ppl need 2 realize that YEAH there isn't a double standard when white ppl talk about black ppl in that kinda way. Prime example: White ppl can't openly say N-I-G-G-A thats just life. For as many years as black ppl had 2 put up with all types of racial inequality and being killed just because of our color, its about time that America is on our side for once. Yeah, we can go on air and speak about our OWN ppl because blacks know some other blacks aint shyt and won't ever be shyt. This is true. But its just a fact of LIFE that its okay for our own color to speak on it . . . ANOTHER RACE just can't speak on it. Now if this was the 50s Mr. Imus's comment woulda been FUNNY and the first black person that woulda come out n said something woulda been KILLED. But white ppl need to realize that its just some things ya'll CAN'T SAY. And America made MR. IMUS AN EXAMPLE

89. NBC are the lowlifes for firing Don Imus on the eve of his Radiothon. It's not about the man but the good he does. I'm sure MLK WOULD have accepted his
apology and then expected him to change. Where is the Dream ?

90. Imus is old enough to know better. NBC did the right thing and CBS should, too.
