1. I meant it as a compliment.
2. I've been listening to too much hip-hop. What groups would you hos, I mean folks, recommend from here on out? Maybe I should switch to country music for a while.
3. I'm an equal-opportunity offender. I hate everybody! You should see the things I say about Jews, Christians, white people. You guys actually came off lightly by my standards.
4. My words were misconstrued. I was talking to my producer, and what I meant to say is that I needed a snappy-headed hose. You won't believe the garden work I'm doing these days.
5. I missed the target. The real whores are Sharpton and Jackson, and they come at a high price too. (As for Sharpton's hair, c'mon! Nappy is an understatement.) Lots of people are paying the big bucks to these pros, and after this I guess I will be joining the list of patrons.
6. We've got serious national issues to deal with like health care and terrorism and global warming and you want to talk about this nonsense?
7. So you don't like my sense of humor! Okay, let me tell you the one about the Englishman, the Irishman and the Polack...
8. How come Coulter gets away with "faggot" and I can't get away with "ho"?
9. Even Jesse Jackson uses some of the same terms that I'm being criticized for. Remember, "Hey hey, ho ho, Western Civilization has got to go?" Just for the record, that wasn't me, it was Jesse.
10. Well, I don't have to do radio any more. I can go where my linguistic talents are more appreciated. I wonder if there's room in the music business for one more white rapper?

1. Let's face it - you have to keep the mouth in check or else you'll get hosed over hos. So much for freedom of speech. Thought control.

2. It may well be a freedom of speech issue, and Imus exercised his right to make the statment, but he had better be prepared for the consequences. there are other freedoms involved here: The right to protest, to hold public rallies, freedom of the press to excoriate, and so forth.
Al Sharpton and Jackson (as much as I dislike them) have the right to respond. Further, in a capitalist enconomy the employer has a right to fire.
I find Imus's comments deplorable and not just because he was demeaning young ladies who are in school and pursuing a degree instead of walking the streets, but because Imus gave fuel to the fire of men like Sharpton and Jackson and now I have to see their hypocrytical faces every time I turn on the TV. Thank Imus. I think you need to change your name to I-Must-Not
I hope that some good comes from this and the deplorable double-standard of African Americans demeaning their own race while they attack every misguided statement by whites will finally be brought out into the open and ended.

3. imus(daphuckedup)says that the word "hoe"(not ho)did not originate in the white community...
Function: noun
Pronunciation: 'hOr, 'ho r, 'hur
Etymology: , fromMiddle English hore Old English hOre; akin to Old Norse hOra whore, hOrr adulterer, Latin carus dear -- more at CHARITY
1 : a woman who engages in sexual acts for money : PROSTITUTE ; also : a promiscuous or immoral woman
2 : a male who engages in sexual acts for money
3 : a venal or unscrupulous person
he can attempt to excuse his vile mentality on hip hop all day, white america can jump head first on thet flaming bandwagon with him,however...
well before i first heard a hip hop song(1977), i watched hundreds(thousands) of porn movies, the end was always the same, as a white man would ejaculate(aww skeet skeet/yin yang twins)all over the face of a white woman, and she would appear to love it.i am no woman, nor do i support gansta rap, hollywood and its violent images(californias gov terminated thousands on film, including hundreds of cops"i'll be bock" and women"sara conner?BANG BANG BANG!!!",the video game industry(all serious offenders and equally responsible for the rapid decline of the morality of americas youth{along with some seriously delinquent parents}. degredation of women(or any other human) is flat out wrong, but i would guess that being called a bitch, hoe, slut, ect is miles ahead of having sperm sprayed all over your face for a few porn dollars.

4. Imus should now go to sirus radio like Howard Stern. Also everyone not only the Rutgers girls should learn to forgive I deos something bigger than what they are trying to do .Look at the omnish community they forgave the man who killed thier children ,this alows you to move on to greater things.Everyone could learn from them, the omnish. So please try to forgive even the big companies that chose to fire him what have the resolved nothing.

5. Why are only remarks by white's the only remarks which are racist? The blacks continue to blame our ancestors for eveything and continue to keep the pot boiling. They will not let us forget things which happened that we had no part of but continue to rub salt in the wound. Why don't the blacks have to do things which are politically correct and socialably acceptable? I thought everyone had the right to freedom of speech. Furthemore, I think IMUS is a slob and his remarks were terrible! However, RACIST is not a one way street.

6. I have heard where the real targets of this sort of shutdown are the more serious conservative talk radio shows. There are precious few successful liberal talk radio shows. For some reason, liberals control more of the Tv networdks, while radio is basically the realm of conservative talk shows.
Imus' show was basically shock-jock style, with little serious content, and a relatively small audience. Sure, he tended to lean Liberal, but apparently not enough to save him from the likes of old Al Sharkton and crowd. The real message is that if they get hold of something that could be construed to fit their goals, certain elements of the Left will waste no time in silencing any broadcast media outlet with which they do not agree.
Another little referenced story is how the far-Left is refusing to allow mainstream Democrats to debate on FOX network. That is a good one.
Rather than actually engage people with whom they disagree, the Left simply refuses. This is typical of their narrow mindedness, and their fear of competeing in the world of ideas. It is important to keep in mind that the terms "Liberal" and "Left", do not mean tolerant or open minded.
This sort of thing, together with the far-Left's preference for circumventing the democratic process by using the courts (i.e., unelected judges) to ram their radical cultural agenda down the throats of mainstream Americans, is indeed a worrisome trend.

7. It's taken me several days of reading various aol news reports to determine exactly which radio station this guy works for...Some poor reporting. I've NEVER seen so much BIAS and personal opinions in both the headlines, and the stories..and not just this IMUS story. Sooo cutesy, makes me sick. Over and over again, every day, every night. This crap wouldn't fly in my journalism classes, back in the Watergate days, when JOURNALISM was REAL. And people talk about Hearst and his yellow journalism. That was nothing. This is RIDICULOUS.
Internet news will never replace REAL newspapers....I don't know what's more of a JOKE, AOL, or FOX News. Oh, honey, you need a bit of hairspray, we're almost on the air. Good Evening from New York.... In today's news, Santa Claus was arrested for saying "Ho...." and that's all the news that's not fit for...anyone.

11. It's a good day in America when a sexist, racist jerk is removed from the airwaves where he's in a position to influence millions everyday. The world is changing and ol' dinosaurs like Don Imus are moving on.
About seven years ago I noticed many women business owners and aspiring business owners have a tendency to hold back when it comes to marketing and selling in business. Areas critical to their success. They’re terrified of being thought of as pushy or aggressive so their efforts are often reticent and they get passed over even if they’re highly qualified and/or offer great products and services.
I ended up writing a book to empower women who are home-based business owners (Testosterone-Free Marketing). My experience mentoring women and the thousands who've bought my book has taught me much of the reason women hold back and are afraid to project more assertively goes back to prior ridicule and degrading comments, fear of ridicule and criticism for just being women - as the Rutgers basketball players encountered.
As a result millions of women hold back from success. This impacts each woman's personal economy and our national economy as women are starting businesses at double the rate of men. African American women are starting businesses at four times the rate of men. So the long-lasting impact of degrading, throwaway comments aimed at women is huge.

12. This is all petty and one sided, last week on survior 04/05/07, the black man on moto made a racial comment about the way that white men dance but that is just fine. why is it only raceism when a white person says it. also why is it that a black person can get a better job with less skill than a white man.I have black, white, and mexican in my family i dont care what coler you are but if you are gona scream racial about a white guy maybe i should sue the black raceist on survior and mabe even cbs

13. "Frank Williamson" with history as my guide, I can say that Anglos have a destructive hate filled past, which is justifiably why other races (not just brown and dark brown humans) are offended when you same Anglos feel it's ok to make light of physical characteristics of other races. Let me ask you a question, since you want to know why "blacks" don't have to "behave," why do European-Americans think they are superior to everyone else and exempt from respecting their fellow human being? If no one can tell me what mystical power Anglos have that has entitled them the right to enslave other races, invade preoccupied lands killing off the natives, and declaring war for no reason then I'm not convinced that you people are superior, but just the opposite. While racism is not a one-way street, the gridlock is without a doubt on the Anglo side of the street.
I'm not really offended by what Imus had to say because my skin is brown, I'm offended as a woman that he's taken such pride in the odious language he's adopted to describe women. I felt his comments were boorish, but not necessarily something to be fired over. No one should really expect much from a man who refers to his own wife as the “Green Ho” that’s asinine. Moreover, with Imus's disturbing appearance he has some nerve commenting on the subjective topic of visual charisma. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but in my opinion, he's the rough looking ho.
In addition, before I get a rebuttal about how brown people disrespect each other on a daily basis let me make my utter disdain for rap music and the artists/comedians/actors that use such language known. I'm only 22, but for years I have found that the brown culture (which Anglo kids eat up like birthday cake) is palpably debasing and I refuse to support such filth in anyway.

14. Jessie (I knock up teenage girls and get away with it) Jackson and Al (I can perpetuate any lie) Sharpton are shake-down artists with no self esteem, character, and I'll screw anyone who I think will get my face on TV. Hip-hop is as degrading as any white person themselves could come up with. The basketball manager says she had to take away the I-pods and cell phones from her girls to get their attention, just what do they have down-loaded on those I-pods?? Dean Martin?
