Fox got caught this week with their hand in the cookie jar, or should I say the ham sandwich. They went on-air with a flat out made up story. The story involved a ham steak being placed in front of Muslim students as a prank in a middle school in Maine. Fox News Channel believed a parody site that said that an Anti-Ham Response Plan had been implemented at the school to fight against ham sandwiches – and ran with the story on-air.
You know they wanted to believe the story. They ran it because it's the kind of thing Fox eats up. They love to ham up these fake stories of political correctness. And this involved making fun of sensitive Muslims, even better. Fox was in hog heaven.
This is their silly "War on Christmas" type of story on crack. Instead of embellishing and making up stories on their own, this time they made the mistake of using an actual parody that could be proven to be fake. That was their real error. They're usually savvier than that.
I have called Fox, "Fake News Channel" before because of their penchant for putting so much bias in stories that they aren't representative of reality. That's actually a much worse transgression than this because there they convince the mainstream media to cover real stories with their false slant -- and the press usually falls for it. In this case, it's good to see that they lived up to the title of literally being the Fake News Channel.
I remember when Fox News demanded that all of the CBS producers and anchors be fired when they went with an uncorroborated story on-air. I am sure they will apply the same standard to their staff, right?
31. I might not be a liberal, but I as a reporter, I know bad news when I see it. Sure there are errors reported all around the globe. However, the consistency of bias with which Fox reports is bordering on obnoxious. The "Fake" news is a kind way of saying, a very, very conservative bias. (the religious news channels are more even-handed)

And if they truly thought it was a joke, they would have investigated it just a tad to find out IT WAS REALLY A JOKE! I love reading these political posts. What's next, are they going to demean rape victims? Missing women? But for people to DEFEND them is just utterly beneath stupid. I didn't like that the fact that the "missing bride" had ran away. I didn't like that a prosecuter made the boys lives at Duke a living hell for a year, because YOU people ate it up in the media. There are victims and when we "make up victims" we take the seriousness out of crimes. Next time, maybe it's your child who is a victim of crime, maybe a hate crime. The fact it was an utter lie and an opportunity to separate Americans even more, is uniquely the trait of the current Rightwing Republicans. I'm really not surprised about that, but to defend liars, even when they've been exposed as such, makes you as bad as the liars. Because you KNOW that you are taking a side that is not even close to a truthful nature. Remember one thing. This was the same organization that wanted to promote OJ Simpson's "If I did it". Can you people really count the lines on snakes bellys, because you are definately at a low view to do so.

The said in 04, that Kerry refused to meet with hurricane victims so he could get his haircut and manicure. That was a lie.
