Unfortunately Knut can't remain a cute, widdle, cuddly cub forever...pretty soon he's liable to rip your head off.
Knut's days of extreme cuteness are numbered now that he has acquired a markedly longer snout and weighs a chubby 17 kilograms (37 pounds), twice as much as when he first appeared before an adoring public five weeks ago. "His teeth are sharper and he's stronger, he still gets porridge but we now feed him beef on the bone occasionally," the zoo's bear expert Heiner Klös told SPIEGEL ONLINE. "He's calmed down a bit, he doesn't potter around as much as he used to and he's happy to sit on his own more often. But he still wanders back to his keeper to tank up on security."Zzzzzzzzzzzzz...The good news is crowds (with a far longer attention span than I) are still flockling to get a glimpse of the polar bear superstar which thankfully helps the efforts to raise awareness on global warming and other environmental issues.
Farewell cute Knut...puberty's a bitch but you'll get through it, we all do; well most of us at least -- Michael Jackson's still workin' on it. HEEEEEEEE HEEEEE HEEEEEEEE!

3. Jill,
Thank you. The creature is hideously cute, but will soon be a "God-less killing machine." I take this post to be a statement on the ephemerality of cuteness. Much as with poor Madonna.
Please continue your two-show streak of not losing it and screaming harridan-like at Cenk. This streak is a positive development.

4. Knut should be saved or sold to another zoo as polar bears are on the endangered specis list and he could be used to make more babies. somewhere.

5. DID ANYONE THINK HE WOULD NOT GROW UP. I JUST PRAY THEY ARE PREPARED, AND HAVE FOUND A PLACE FOR HIM TO LIVE, SINCE THEY APPEAR NOT TO HAVE PREPARED HIM TO LIVE WITH OTHER POLARS. TOO MUCH HUMAN CONTACT. I HOPE A WILDLIFE FOUNDATION WILL TAKE OVER.

6. Knut will do now what exactly he's supposed to do. He'll grow into a full-size bear and become one of the most beautiful and magnificent animals on this planet. From a cute, cuddly little cub, he'll become a full-size predator. Hopefully, he'll be treated with the respect he deserves and lead a long life. Thanks to all those who worked so hard on his survival!!! He may never remember it, but they will!!!

7. I'm not sure he will become 'a mindless killing machine'. People have been training and semi-domesticating bears for thousands for thousands of years. Not sure I've heard of a trained polar bear before, but this one, raised from infancy by a man acting as surrogate parent will most likely be as domesticated as any bear can be.
