3. Well Mo, You might want to read this book. J.K. Rowling says this is the final book and that possibly she will be killing Harry Potter. (How awful is that, she is killing a "teenage icon") I guess it had to happen or did it? Really she could keep this series going on forever.

4. Don't worry Mo, I am joining you in that club, But I chose not to read them because well, I don't want to.

Have no fear MrsMo... Harry can never die.. If Rowling 'kills' him he'll just 'magic' his way right out of Hell. Harry is bigger than her now....you'll see.

6. Mo you're not alone. Ive never read any of these books but I seen the first movie once when I was babysitting. To many distractions to actually see what was going on. ???

7. I'm not an avid fan of Harry Potter, but I am a reader. And that boy got his facts wrong! In the third book, Harry tries to rescue his godfather, not his uncle. :)
And there are only seven books, Dear Mo, and the seventh one is coming out in July 2007. The fifth movie is also coming out in July either one week before or after the release of the book.

8. Well, being an avid fan of the series, I can suggest getting into the Potter culture by watching the 1st movie, reading the third and fourth books, and then seeing the 5th movie once it comes out in theaters. You really won't miss much this way.
If you want to read the 7th book though, the thing of main importance is that you read book 6 (it ends on one of those really annoying cliffhangers where they have to go hand in hand - like the transition between the last Pirates of the Caribbean and this latest one, arg)
Avoid book 5 at all costs, it really was the worst - the movie might actually do it justice though.
Otherwise, if you want to foregoe even these steps the easiest way to grasp the totality of Potter-dom is just to translate the Star Wars plot:

9. The only way to get a full grip of the Harry Potter series is to read the books. Just asking someone will be only a loose translation since there is so much content.
If you just want to get the main idea watch all the movies and read book 6 first before 7.
Just a note: The books are all good but I must say that book 5 was good! It is a dark book with lots of hardache and emotion. So far not the easiest year for Harry though I'm sure book 7 wont be either. Only July will tell.

10. I would just like to say that I would suggest that you actually read all the books. They are available on audiobook if you don't wish to read them. Watching the movies is a great way to catch up, but a lot of the story and details are left out of the movies.
Book 5 was not the worst, just the most drawn out. There was quite a lot going on in that book.
FYI: Harry will not die in book 7. JK wouldn't dare! Her fandom would start a rebellion worthy of the French Revolution.

11. My Camping Mall says that Harry Potter and his magic deserves a rest. I have the perfect place for that rest-send him to paradise where he can use one of my plush sleeping bags in a nice family tent.
