But I can't deny that I'm happy to see the Romney camp call out Al Sharpton on what certainly sounds like an anti-Mormon comment. Here it is:

"In no way did I attack Mormons or the Mormon Church when I responded that other believers, not atheists, would vote against Mr. Romney for purely political reasons," Sharpton said.Last month Sharpton insisted, when asked if Imus was bigot, that he couldn't know what was in Don Imus' heart - i.e., perception matters as much intent. Fair enough.
Well then, all we have to go on are Sharpton's words and how they sound. And they certainly sound, um, bigoted.

He is the male version of Paris Hilton, we all see her constantly, hear about her everyday, her every move and utterance is repeated for us, but just who the hell is she that we should even give her attention? Sharpton is just as dangerous as a drunk driver, he has caused more racial tension and riots and loss of lives and yet the man is given a podium and power to spew his verbal vomit. They'll hire him and the next thing he'll want is a prayer rug and time out during the middle of a double header to pray to Allah.

67. Sharpton seems to subscribe to the notion that he can say or do whatever he wants. He calls those that dissagree with him as racist when he could truly define racisism if you hear everything he says. Race relations would much improve without Sharpton acting as a spokesperson for his race. Whenever he speaks, my ears close up. His opinions mean nothing to me and I believe he should be held more accountable than most for his words and actions because of his position in his community. I will also bet you won't hear any apology from him - EVER.

68. Not only should Sharpton apoligize for these bigoted comments, he should also apoligize to the Duke lacrosse players for all his rude comments before the REAL truth of that case came out. Why is it that people that point fingers and scream rascism are the biggest rascists? Why is it that whites are the only ones that can be rascists? Try starting a United White College Fund or Miss White America pageant and see what happens.

I havent heard a word regarding the fact that Sharpton,who has a big mouth,is being called bigoted,while Mitt Romney,fought like hell to stop gay marriage in Mass.Is Sharpton the bigot cause he remarked about Mormonism,yet Romney not,in trying to stop same sex couples from marrying?I dont see why 1 is being called out,and not the other.If this were about interracial marriage,would this then put Romney in the hot seat?Id like to see this addressed.And I LOVE DONNY and MARIE!But I see Romney as bigoted against the gay population.I dont like any kind of prejudice.

73. Of course Sharpton should apologize. While he is at it, he needs to make amends to the innocent white men he has attempted to portray as rapist's. There have been many. After demonizing the DUKE3, who subsequently have been shown to have been the victims of a vicious scam, Sharpton has been characteristically silent on the subject. Now the Reverend has once again proven himself a Bigot, even after having demanded Don Imus's job as punishment for Imus's bigotry. What's fair is fair. Sharpton should apologize, resign, and retire from public life.
