1. Funny clip - Bush is the worst President ever and Carter is the second worst in my lifetime (despite the fact that I voted for him twice, Phil never presses (R)). Re the Democratic spending bill, the Republicans refused to listen to America and pass along with the Dems a veto proof bill with a pullout schedule. Our Republican joke in the White House vetoed the one that was passed - and said that rather than pull out the troops, he would sacrifice them like stick pins on a war map and make them fight with nothing. Its one thing to back down, its quite another to hold true to your promise, but have Republicanism obstruct every attempt you make to fulfill the American people's demands. How would Bill feel if by some miracle the Republicans in Congress became Americans first and Republicans second, and allowed a veto prood timetable for withdrawal to be passed, and we watched as Bush threw our troops to the lions, say by having their ammunition run out in the middle of one of the endless shootouts. The message I get here is we need more Dems in Congress and a Dem in the White House, so we can get to work cleaning up the horrible mess the Republicans have managed to create in just 7 years.

2. However, Moyer is right on about the seven year attempt to shut up all opposition to turning this country into a fascist state. They actually thought they could get away with snatching an American citizen on American soil and denying him all his Constitutional rights - but even our conservative stacked Supreme Court gave Bush a HUGE hint that one wouldn't work. Because I had the nerve to oppose the war as almost 70% of America does, I had one Republican commenter (who uses 3 screennames and is crazy as a loon) suggest the FBI snatch my computer because he was sure it was full of terrorist information. The whole idea has been intimidate, get everyone to shut up, rip off everyone but the wealthiest one percent of the country, and "stay the course" in a landgrab for oil when for one sixth of the price every car in this country could be running on ethanol right now.

3. I agree...funny. President Carter should have not backed down. He was 100% correct.

4. President Carter was right that man in the White House is wrong and he works for the rich and the devil. He is sending the USA to hell in a hen basket. He doesn't care as long as he get rich and his friends get richer. He lies and only listens to who? no one but himself and the devil. He is not working or listening to God because he is the devils' son. I can't stand the man and wish that he will soon leave that place and this place. He makes me sick to my stomach and I have never before in my life hated anyone the way I hate him.

5. I believe Jimmy Carter was right. Bush is wrong but because Bush has a temper and a bully pulpit his party goes along with him. It's past time for Bush to listen to the American people. He's the worst of the worst. Jimmy Carter did a few things right. He didn't invade a country on lies and to start a war. This is reason enough alone, to be certain Bush is impeached...Come on!

6. I just want to know ONE thing the democrats have done that is so great, especially Congress in it's first 100 days! Not one thing, but deny our Troops what they need! You say we should leave Iraq? Do you hate our country enough to see our soldiers killed in vain? No White Flag For Me! President Bush did what was right! I believe there WERE WMD's,but while we were waiting for all those U.N. Resolutions from that scandal ridden outfit, Saddam had plenty of time to remove them! WE HAVE FOUND THE REMAINS, KNEW HE USED THEM ON HIS OWN PEOPLE! WE ARE STILL FINDING WEAPON CACHES, AND NOT ALL OF THEM ARE FROM IRAN, MANY ARE OLD, AND OF COURSE UNSAFE, I GUESS SADDAM COULDN'T GET THEM ALL OUT IN TIME! OIL? THAT WAS NOT THE REASON WE WENT INTO IRAQ...HELLO! I see no sense in trying to even talk to you liberals, you are too busy bashing we Republicans, bringing in all the "ILLEGAL ALIENS," STEALING WHATEVER YOU CAN FROM THE WHITE HOUSE ON DOWN TO THE CONGRESS! SCANDALS? PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULD NEVER THROW STONES!

7. I liked Jimmy Carter. He is known as a humanitarian, and had an exemplary life including a great U. S. Naval career. But, his remarks regarding President Bush lately were completely unlike him. Remarks like these are really hurting the morality of our troops, not to mention their families. Who gave away the Panama Canal, Mr. Carter? Is there anything else today, or tomorrow, we can give away - i.e., money, food, arms etc., to people who hate our guts??!! How many more immigrants should be allowed to come into the U. S.? Bring 'em all in - Ya'll come! The taxpayers of this country just can hardly wait to educate, give tax exemptions etc. Right? My grand parents came into the U. S. via Ellis Island. Learned English and LOVED this country! Not like these "In your face" "gimme gimmes" "we deserve what YOU have so give half of what you earn to us", pushy aliens! As former beloved President, these are the issues you should be about, not kicking this President in the gut. I, too, am not happy about Iraq, but we've got to finish what we started! Our mistake: Telling them, "Here we come - don't do that again or else strategy." I'm a 72 year old grandmother, not a 4 star general, but giving the enemy a blow by blow description daily of our assault was asinine to me. Please keep this country "together" by helping, bringing your input to the table with this President. Your remarks were so UNlike you.

9. Carter is a treasonous idiot.....he has sole responsibility for everything going on in the Middle East (allowed Iran to go to the Muslim fundamentalists, destabilizing the whole region and starting the crazy muslim movement.

11. Really, I just don't get it!
You, meaning us, have a Pres that lied to the
American people, in respect to the War in Iraq.
Yet, Carter is made to look the heavy when, in truth, it is Bush that is deserving of all negativism.
Joe Dominguez at 4:05PM on May 29th 2007
12. Jimmy Carter was terrible as a president. I remember the inflation and how I could barely afford to eat. We lost all credibility in the world, and became WUSSES. Under Carter IRAN took our guys hostage. The very minute Reagan was sworn into office, they were freed.
I am a Christian and Carter is a Christian but it ends there. He certainly does not follow what he preaches and what he is to follow per the Bible.
Just my opinion~

YOU DON'T KNOW YOUR ASS FROM A HOLE IN THE GROUND.THE DEMOCRATS OR GOP CAN'T DO A DAMN THING WITHOUT EACH OTHER. THEY ALL TALK BUT CAN'T ACT UNTIL THEY GET BOTH SIDES TO AGREE. THE WAR IS NOT ILLEGAL NO MORE THAN YOU ARE.THE CONGRESS VOTED TO ALLOW BUSH TO DO WHAT HE DID. YOU KNOW KERRY SAID I ACTUALLY VOTED FOR THE WAR BEFORE I VOTED AGAINST IT. GET YOU FACTS TOGETHER BEFORE YOU START THROWING STONE AND BE SURE TO PUT SOME TAPE ON YOUR WINDOWS BECAUSE WHEN YOU THROW ROCKS THERE WILL BE SOME COMING BACK YOU WAY.

15. Why is funding the war the same as supporting the troops? Legislation that would of provided the funding (even if higher than the current request)to allow our troops to come out of Iraq as safely as possible should of been the agenda for the Democrats.
