Tom DeLay claimed recently that his adultery was better than Newt Gingrich's because at least he didn't do it while they were prosecuting Bill Clinton for lying about his own adulterous affair. Yeah, if you're going to cheat on your wife, it's much better to get it out of the way before you start demonizing someone else for doing the same thing.
Here's DeLay on his moral superiority to Gingrich and why his adultery was better:
"I was no longer committing adultery by that time, the impeachment trial. There's a big difference."
Do you think there's a big difference? I wonder if his wife thought there was big difference?
He also said it was okay because he later found Jesus.
"Also, I had returned to Christ and repented my sins by that time."
I wonder if his wife agreed with that rationale, too. Try telling this to your wife -- No, it's okay honey, I found Jesus after I slept with that other woman.
Would that excuse work for you?
I might have helped to find Jesus before he jumped in the sack with someone he wasn't married to, but it's funny how that always works. Jesus is usually hiding until right after someone gets caught doing something really bad. And then all of a sudden people find him around every corner.
What do you think -- is there such a thing as better adultery?

46. Grace writes: "Delay says "he turned to Christ", howabout turning to your wife and asking her to better your marriage?"
Grace, people in prison before parole board hearings always profess to have turned to Christ. Delay's just practicing early.

And please stop using Jesus as your go to guy. It makes me sick how his name is just used by these parasites. Shame on them all!!!! All those "Good Christians" As if they even knew what that means!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder just how disapointed Jesus Christ is in all of us??? AS WELL HE SHOULD BE!!
And how much longer are people going to bring up Clinton??? No matter what the subject is, it always turns to Clinton! All I can say about Clinton is I wish he was still our President!!
The subject here is about two PIGS, who did the same thing that a lot of men do,including Clinton. And now it's thier turn to explain!!
Yes Clinton lied under oath!! Very wrong to do that, he should have told everyone to go to hell in the first place. Having said that, look at all the lies this IDIOT we have in the White House now has told and continues to do so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TOM and Newt are disgusting pigs! Newt even had the gall to serve his wife, divorce papers in the hospital, while she was fighting CANCER!! What a GUY!!!

49. The fact that we wasted tax payers money on a BJ, because someone, our President was trying to hide the fact of a sexual act, and lied about it, is ludicrous to begin with.
Adultery is adultery. People in powerful positions, get off on the influence of their power. They become so attractive to women and are so thrilled with the attention, that it , in itself is sexually stimulating. They cross the line, when they act on it. Bill Clinton is no worse than these guys. Clinton was the President. He was embarrassed and ashamed of what he did and tried to cover it up with a lie. What President was ever put into that position before? There were others that were involved extramaritally.
The Republicans ran with this, but forgot to look in the mirror. Their "family values" are no different than the Democrats.

51. Let's face it a majority politicians all lie and cheat and are only in it to gain more power and advance their own agenda. Democrats and Republicans are just different ends of the same animal. As far as cheating goes adultery is immoral end of story, if your not happy with your current spouse get a divorce. Also I think morals are important when electing officials. I mean if a man has no problem lying to the face of his wife and mother of his children, he definately won't think twice about lying to you.

He is the best president we have ever had and is being blamed for the war that EVERY politican voted for.... all else, he has done a great job as president. No wonder he has gone back to the bottle with you nuts out there critisizing his every move.

57. When a president repeatedly goes before the country on TV and knowingly distorts the truth to promote the military invasion and occupation of another country,it renders any discussion of other people's
marital infidelities and concordant perjuries about them too trivial and frivolous by comparison for us to be entertaining.
When a president speaks to the country,is he not considered to be under oath?If he then lies,is it not perjury? And if by his perjury we are committed to a war of aggression, should he not be removed from office and prosecuted?

58. A new book serves as a rebuttal to Richard Dawkin’s, The God Delusion, and also refutes the premise of moral relativism. The title is Adults Only (Bernard Hanan and Co. Publishers, New York). This book offers scientific proof to the fact that the human being has a distinct soul and thus has a special moral imperative and questions whether morality is possible without religion. It also proves that there is an absolute ethical standard. The book, brilliantly and creatively written, is comprehensive and is exceedingly logical. It covers everything from scientifically disproving atheism to delving into themes of moral philosophy and relationships. The author, IC Fingerer, is president of the Thnink and Care Tank, www.thinkandcaretank.org, a rabbi and bioethicist. The book can be ordered from Barnes and Noble or directly from www.thebookforadults.com.
