Much has already been written about Lindsay Lohan's recent troubles, some of it musical, so there's no need to go on about them at length here.
Instead, let's briefly discuss the ripple effect, which is what happens with other people decide that celebrity lifestyles are so desirable that they must be foisted on innocent little children. (The words "innocent," "desirable," and "lifestyles" should all be in ironic quotation marks, but that starts to look cluttered, and it "disrupts" the "flow" of "thought.")
After you watch this video -- can it be real? -- a number of questions will no doubt spring to mind, but the one that got me was this one: how can every kid be the tannest kid in the class? Isn't that impossible? (h/t: BWE)

21. Its just sad how this mother is making her daughter get a tan for a school picture.Even more sad potraying a bad image to all the californians. I myself live in california. and yes, we might have the "platic" image, but I believe the people in fault is the media and the parents that raise this kids, in this situation, the mother. And this happens everywhere,sad.hahaha personaly my dad would kick my butt if i ever think doing such thing like that or getting any kind of surgery. And for that i thank him! :D

22. This mother should be charged with ''child endangerment" for exposing her child to $1300 worth of UV rays which could cause Melanoma and cost her her life. Children don't always understand the consequences of their actions, but this Mom has no excuse for what she did, given ALL THE HUGE AMOUNT OF PUBLICITY, which the dangers and risks of overexposure to the sun have been given. She can't love her daughter is she was willing to do this. Instead, she should have just helped her daughter to compose a letter to Lohan warning HER about the risk of "keeping her own skin "tan"." This is so sad.

29. Wake up people!!!! Why are you surprised? This has been in our society for awhile now! "US" as a nation has created and allowed this behavior to expand to our future generations. You act like this is a big deal, when in fact, this has been going on for years! Look at the Ramsey girl! Oh, by the way, Cali and Florida are not the only states who bleach their hair,tan their skin or have fake boobs placed. I love how people look at Cali as the scape goat for their answers to the unreasoning behavior of people! Cali people are very forward about their tans and the boobs becuase it is the home of Hollywood! You know, the place where they create the movies that you all pay to watch!!!! Some people play the part well and other don't know the difference between reality and a movie. Give me a break! This kind of behavior is happening all over the world! 30. Wouldn't have been nice if mom would have donated 1,300 dollars to maybe a homeless charity. Shown her daughter that a school picture is not a head-shot but a picture to remember your school years. 1,300 is a lot of money that could be used to help the children in a homeless shelters. I can't imagine a mom wanting her daughter to be another Lindsay Lohan. A confused girl with lousy parents and who's a drunk. The values parents teach kids. How sad. I'm from Ca. and it's a superficial state with few orginal thoughts and little kindness. Born and raised here it's home. Most I stay away from.
